  1. Correction they've made a triple sub but no O'Hare
  2. This is a quote from Chris Heck "We are going to do a lot of renovation at Bodymoor Heath to continue building our academy, our womens programme, to build more for our first-team and be more attractive to bring in talent around the world."
  3. Doesn't really surprise me, people seemed to be taking it for granted that Coventry will beat them, but these always seem to fluke one or two wins a season in games that they're expected to lose, and as was shown when they played Preston if a team doesn't turn up against them then they can still fluke a win, also Coventry's away record isn't that great. Hopefully Coventry can find a way back into the game, but having watched some it they're not looking great
  4. This result if it stays like this almost as good as a win for us, might even have a bearing on what team we put out tomorrow against Arsenal
  5. If Newcastle get some more goals without reply we could potentially lose tomorrow and still stay fourth
  6. Leicester form has been poor of late, just ten points from the last ten games including tonight, only Blackburn, Huddersfield, Sunderland, small heath, and Rotherham have been in worse form over the same period. Big chance for Leeds and Ipswich who both have home games tomorrow. Would rather Southampton come up with Ipswich rather than Leeds or Leicester, it's a long shot, but they've still got a slight chance based on them having two games in hand and also having to play both Leeds and Leicester
  7. Finley Munroe signed his first professional contract today, Mark Harrison speaks of him transitioning to senior football in his little write up thing that he does when an academy player signs a contract, so I think good chance we will be seeing him go out on loan next season
  8. Overall I thought we played well, at times very well, I thought all the players did pretty well individually too, Borland is seriously impressive, I watch him and think if he wasn't so small he might do for the first team at the moment with the midfield shortage, Wilson I thought was great too in the withdrawn striker role, almost similar to how Kane plays, Kadan Young had some real standout moments, Jimoh-Aloba had some good moments too as he got more involved, Triston Rowe was very good as usual
  9. There is actually a legitimate reason related to the HKSE as to why they haven't bought the total shareholding yet, but they have full control and eventually will have full ownership
  10. Not playing as well as we can, too many wasted long balls because we're trying too hard to make the killer pass, if we just keep possession and stay patient this is a game we should be winning relativley comfortably. Need to get Jimoh-Aloba more involved
  11. It will probably be Young on the left, Wilson through the middle, and Moore on the right, either that or Moore and Wilson as a front two, but I would guess moore on the right more likely as he's played there a number of times before
  12. New stadium for the women and academy to play at akin to what Manchester City have, more likely than a new main stadium. infrastructure can mean anything, it could be work on Bodymoor Heath, something Heck has already said will happen, but also it could relate to infrastructure at one of V Sports other teams, and probably a bunch of other possibilities man
  13. At these fans forums Wagner and Cook have been telling their fans to not listen to the haters in reference to fans of other clubs and parts of the media, and saying it will only get worse the more succesful they become, Wagner even had 'FEA' as part of his presentation the other day, and made a big deal of it meaning 'F*** Em All' again in reference to the haters and doubters, all seems very propagandary to me, as if they're trying to condition their fans into not believing any media criticism that might come, also interesting to see them say there are going to be some decisions with regards to St Andrews that might not be popular, but their fans have to trust them, they're apparently spending a lot of money on it, despite the proposed ground move He's a legit operator so it seems, they've partnered up with Oak View Group, got Tom Brady on board, Nike going to be making bespoke kits for them over the next two season, they've already done a lot of work on their training ground and stadium, I think it was something like £15m on the stadium with a further £20m planned before next season, and so and so on, so not saying he's some Tony Xia type me wouldn't have a clue about that anyway, but if was a fan of theirs I'd be slightly concerned by the amount of talking he does, usually the real besty owners just stay quiet in the background
  14. I wonder if we would ever consider building a small stadium for the women/academy as Manchester City did for their women/academy teams with 'The Joie Stadium', Chris Heck did say that further work was planned for Bodymoor to specifically help with the academy and women's programs, and the women's team are referenced in all the Atairos announcements, but whether it would even be feasible I don't know. Whatever they've got planned will be interesting to see
  15. Tonight's game is now being advertised as being shown on VillaTV
  16. What the hell is going on, we win European Quarter final tie, and people more interested in other teams' results. Just finish fourth, when or if it gets to the stage where we can't achieve that then worry about what finishing fifth will mean, but as it stands we're still in with a brlliant chance of getting top four, and our league games are far more important to achieving that end than how other clubs are doing in Europe, it race for Champions League, we have to run that race, Emery is the pacemaker
  17. Best case scenario is we finish fourth and win the Conference League But one win in five in the league, more likely than not it will be one win in six after Sunday, so going to need a strong finish to the season Luckily we're still in a good position relative to Spurs whatever happens at the weekend, the worst case scenario is three points off them but with them having a really tough run of games to come, if Newcastle beat them that's already a good weekend for us, it's one of those where we could get a good draw away to Arsenal, but if Spurs beat Newcastle, we will be worse of in our pursuit for fourth than we would be if both teams lost, so if Newcastle can beat them that would be a great help to us I think we can beat Lllle away from home, but wrong to presume if we overcome them then it will be easy, we're just as likely to come unstuck against a team we're expected to beat Pour moi I want Conference League win the most, we desperately need to win a trophy, twenty-seven years since our last is way too long, if we achieve that doesn't really matter what else happens, Conference League win and Champions League or Europa League, would be our best season maybe since European Cup win, but the important element in making it so is to actually win a trophy
  18. Some bloody over reactions in here, we haven't been that bad
  19. We're winning but have been poor in the final third, nearly every attack our final ball has been letting us down, with better decision making we could have had another two or three goals. They look vulnerable defensively, but we're not getting a hold of the ball enough to take advantage of that
  20. The loan players are included in that list, Stansfield, Aiwu, Drameh, and Dozzell. Other than Jordan James and George Hall if he can stay fit, I don't think they own a single player that a promotion chasing team would particularly want
