  1. Thanks HH, a great insight and sounds logical and plausible. The majority of fans want Lambert to succeed, hence the fantastic home and away support the team and he has had until recently. We really do need that lift to give us hope that this is a mid season blip and that the future is going to be brighter. I long for another VT meltdown, been such a long time since the last one. If things pan out the way you have suggested that Lambert wants then I think the majority of us will be very pleased, just hope it starts in early January. Please keep posting !
  2. Given better service into the box, Kozak will score lots if goals. His hold up play is good, better than Benteke and far better than Gabby, he has good movement and intelligence. With a decent AM in a 4-4-1-1 he would be very effective, shame we don't. Would like to see him and Helenius in the cup.
  3. He runs a business that suppliers temporary workers to Villa, this is why he sits in the Directors box and has regular contact with Faulkner. Very reputable and genuine guy, would trust his insights.
  4. You keep saying this. What do you know? Just speculating, though Red Bull Villa does have a nice ring to it. Could Lerner be making us thst desperate we would accept anything ?
  5. Would anyone settle for Red Bull Villa now ?
  6. I would take Hutton back in the first team. Yes, he is a shit footballer, but he always put a shift in which usually resulted in yellow or red cards. Will never happen though, Lambert is as stubborn as a mule. And about as talented a manager as an ass too !
  7. I was one of many who didn't want the wolly with the brolley, but maybe Steve Mclaren would be a good shout.
  8. Even Alan Hutton would improve our first team !
  9. Bring back John Gregory, at least life was entertaining, if slightly dodgy like Redknapp.
  10. If I were Paul Lambert, I would take another leaf out of Mike Bassett's book of coaching and play Four Four F*****g Two.
  11. Play our kids instead please, give them experience rather than waste what little money we have.
  12. We won't sign anyone unless someone leaves.
  13. Looks like he may be out for a 2 to 3 weeks with a calf strain
  14. That actually does Heskey a disservice !
  15. Perhaps Lowton was emotionally tired having only yesterday become a dad for 3rd time ? Not saying there isn't anything in the rumours, but perhaps it could be more about his form than anything. We do have players who can fill in at RB. Unfortunately, we have no cover for the other players out of form e.g. Weimann and Benteke.
  16. Thought he started off brightly but then faded badly, don't think he has the stamina for the PL. Sub only for me for rest of season then off to pastures new.
  17. Would rather have seen Callum Robinson given a chance after his U21 hatrick, Bowery is toss, just ask Benteke !
  18. Thought he did well, get a quality ball in the box and the lad might just score us a few goals. Won more headers and held ball up better than Benteke too. The two of them could make a good partnership.
  19. At least Kozak can hold the ball up and try to bring players in to the game.
  20. 2 out of 10 is generous. He is too stubborn to change it too.
  21. This is Lamberts team, I have tried to be patient, but the players are clearly not good enough. Organisationally they are a shambles, there is no variation in the tactics. Booting it up to a striker who is not winning a header time and time again. We make West Ham look like Barcelona at times. What do they do in training all weak? Benteke is either not fit or just not bothered. The only one trying is Weimann, again. They need a kick up the backside. Really losing patience with Lambert. Half time verdict ....RUBBISH RUBBISH RUBBISH. Last on MOTD again.
  22. Eh we have scored six goals this season and gabby has assisted 4 of them. He is playing as a winger so try use a bit of thought as to why he hasn't got a great goal scoring ratio...He is a better wide attacker than straight forward Striker and I am happy with that. Play the ball in front of him or let him run at defenders and there are few better. Gabby's limitations are that for some reason, when the ball is played to him with his back to goal, the defenders always seem to get the ball, his hold up play is poor and his first touch lets him down. That is why Roy will not pick him for England.
