He's only criticising his first touch. Not saying Gabby wasn't good, I am a big fan of his, but his pace hides the fact he has a poor touch. Even the set up for Kozak's goal nearly got away from him. That is why Gabby will not get picked for England. Kozak on the other hand is technically head and shoulders above Gabby.

He has good movement and looks like his positioning is good. He has a good first touch, better than Benteke and much much much better than Gabby, but then so does my dog ! He won't score as many as Benteke as his finishing is not great, but overall pleased and he will do a decent job when needed.

Really poor considering they had an extra week to recover since the Liverpool game. Losing to the laughing stock that is Newcastle is embarrasing. Got the tactis completely wrong. The only bright spark was Delph who is growing in confidence, though wish he would stop trying to tackle and Tonev but he came on too late. Everyone else was poor, did Kozak even touch the ball ? 442 at home please with some width to feed our strikers and please stop the long ball down the middle, it does not work!

Most of the team were poor today, but I must say that Gabby's mind seemed to be still in Miami. He also has the worst first touch I can think of for an experienced Premier League striker, that is why he will never play for England.

I just checked Wikipedia and he is listed as an Aston Villa player....lol ! Not exactly prolific in his career but I trust Lambert.

Hey there, I am a life long Villa fan of 42 years. Dad was from Aston, Mom was from Handsworth Wood. Grew up in South Staffordshire, went to my first game with my Dad at a young age, was a season ticket holder for a number of years.
