Just to point out that I also drive too so pay road tax but as I'm a cyclist 50% of the time I get really annoyed about the attitude shown to those who want to stay fit, use a bit less petrol and just want a safer way to cycle.

They have no business on pavements, that's for sure. So in Birmingham where there are next to no cycle lanes where or what am I to do? I risk death by maniacal/impatient drivers and if I go on the pavement I risk the abuse and ire of the pedestrians. As it is I alternate between the two.

This would actually save me I reckon. No temptation, no accidental slicing when trimming and no more lusting after women who will just break and then stomp over my still beating heart.

What's wrong with the pavement route? I'd rather be on the pathway than get crushed by rage fuelled car/bus/lorry drivers with the urge to drive everywhere at 100mph.

I reckon 2 years or 18 months from now R* MIGHT do a next gen version but until the userbase is at a significant amount then they won't do.
