  1. For what it's worth I remember an incident in the Albion game where I thought a fan had confronted Lambert at the dugout after one of our goals. Despite a definite coming together of lambert and someone who looked like they'd ran from the side if the dugout. I saw no mention of the incident.
  2. Today hasn't changed anything, I still don't see lambert taking us where we want to go.
  3. Biggest sign to me he's wishing to sell up. Why else nullify the loans he owed himself.
  4. Win or lose. I'm at the point of having zero faith in lambert. The fact is at the start of the season I fully backed him, felt vindicated we stuck by him and the team last season. This season has eroded that faith away. It's not the results that have done this. It's his team selections and over reliance on certain systems and players. On top of all that it's his misuse of players' he signed. The fact that Tonev, Luna and Helenius were brought and now cast aside for Holt, Bertrand. Last season we seemed to be implementing a style of play. That's gone completely now. Our only tactic is to hit the big man and try and get the 2nd ball. Yet we've seen it in spells when we've pressed high up the pitch and played in possession we've troubled teams. That to me says that our team can play football but they're not being directed to do it enough. If I were in charge of this team, I'd be telling them to play that way each game, win lose or draw. Yet we often seem to play within ourselves, and not want the ball. Our problems are coming from our manager, and not being caused by the opposition.
  5. Absolutely this. IMO lambert has comprised implementing a style of play because we lost a few. He didn't even do it last year when we took a right beating on a number of occasions. Your spot on though. abandoned Is the key word.
  6. For what it's worth, I think he's very good at ruining a business. It's the footballing side that he struggles with. Simply doesn't understand this industry and him and Lerner were foolish enough to think it didn't matter.
  7. Aside from people moaning on the internet, what whispers are these? In they're head? it's laughable to think this board will sack lambert, no matter how mediocre we are. The board think he's doing a great job.
  8. For what it's worth I think lambert is damaged goods now, he's compromised his ideas. Listen to the way he spoke when he came in, it's a different bloke to the one who managing us into oblivion. Failing to inspire the fans and now his own squad of players.
  9. Any realistic villa fan will be calling a Newcastle win, any team on an awful run end up with a gift from us. It's appalling how often we do it.
  10. The relegation 'issue' isn't even that big a deal for myself, Simply for me we're playing abhorrent clueless football and we seemingly have a manager in charge who's showing no signs of trying to improve it. On top of that we have a fanbase whose enthusiasm is dwindling week by week. Our club is dieing in front of our very eyes.
  11. Personally with how the football has gone backwards, I think lambert should go if we lose to Cardiff. I was all for giving him 3 summers to build but it's frightening how poor we've looked this season.
  12. It's not the players that are the problem IMO. The majority have shown themselves to be capable at various points. The main issue for myself is that Lambert still doesn't know his best 11, 5 months into the season. Also he constantly struggles to affect games during the match. Massively losing patience with him personally.
  13. stumbled across this after the recent newpaper suggestion that a pop legend is to be caught up in yewtree. im not familiar with him is he a conspiracy theorist or something in it?
  14. Bigger pr own goals for me are the treatment of John Lerwell and more recently Howard Hodgeson. Both Respected villa fans.
  15. I honestly thought he was this years Dunne, evolving prolonged injury which means he never plays again for us.
  16. Still missing the infamous playmaker, but I hope Lambo goes out and scouts one for the summer instead of signing an old bloke he knew could do a job. Window has been ok for us, still should have signed a centre half till the end of the season. Bertrand provides much needed competition for Luna and Grant Holt can come on and kick people.
  17. If gab is out, we have to play Albrighton. He's looked decent so far this season. Offers width and abit of pace. While Tonev is out of sorts still.
  18. I'm going to make a bold prediction and say we'll win this one. Villa park will be well up for this, and it'll drive and inspire our team to victory. Further proving home fans have a bigger role to play in our dire home form than most would have you believe.
  19. Draxler for me, suits arsenal well. Salah for me is still an unknown quantity, while I'm pretty sure moyes will mis-use mata. Use him as an inverted winger.
  20. Tbf I thought the FA should have looked into Osvaldo's conduct when we won at St. Mary's. He could start a fight in an empty room. As well as the Lamela incident, sure something went on at espanyol. Precocious talent in the extreme.
  21. Is it right Nocerino and Borriello are off to west ham? A few years ago that would have quite a coup. But I can't see them having a major impact now.
  22. Has just been a confidence issue for Weimann and Benteke. Both looked a lot like those players from last season today, a real threat and working hard.
  23. Nice try with the blog, but like a lot of stuff I read on NewsNow. It's absolutely skewed to suit an agenda.
