  1. He needs to be removed. No excuses, he's over seeing our worst season in PL history and has broken some hideous records. None of this sticking together rubbish. Maybe a management change could change our momentum instead of the impending relegation we're heading for.
  2. He looked a half decent prospect, now he's being lampooned. Much like the rest if our squad. Gone backwards under Lambert this year.
  3. Lambert has to go IMO, his reputation is in tatters, and he has very little backing amongst home supporters. In fact why not get rid now? Look at the boost it's given united fans to get done interim fan favorites to take charge of the team.
  4. Are we likely to ever find out what happened?
  5. Very fishy to me, just don't see how you predict that line up and shape.
  6. Sometimes I look at the likes of Bentake, Vlaar, Okore and think what could this guy bring in if he had some real money to spend. Other times I look at tactics, his decision making, the lack of consistency and think has this man really earned the right to spend big? Do we really want another new manager left to work with expensive signings that weren't his own? If Lerner stays in charge I don't care who the manager is, we are doomed either way. may as well keep Lambert as he has survived once and should a second time. If we have new owners I think a fresh start with a new manager would be the best approach. You also have to consider how big a role Culverhouse and Karsa played? I haven't clue who did what roles as part of the management team. Time may reveal more.
  7. With the picture that surfaced after we played them and these 2 being suspended Coincidence? you mean this pic that also included that Clarke will proberbly come as a 3rd CB so it was written before the teams came out Where has this picture come from? Pretty strange that we haven't used that 5-3-2 for a number of weeks and suddenly they get our tactics bang on.
  8. Our club will be poorer without him, what a loss. Much like Sid and Tony McAndrew a permanent fixture of our back room staff since I've followed villa. I really hope this takeover materializes because we need a total rebuild from top to bottom.
  9. Did any check out the sale at VP today? I was tempted until we turned out that dross at palace yesterday. Everything a fiver apparently.
  10. Has this article been shared yet? Brilliant summery by someone who occasion frequents villatalk. http://ow.ly/vx4v0
  11. I don't think we'll go down but the fact that Lambert says 'they're are worse teams than villa' and deny's that were in trouble speaks volumes. If this is the attitude of the manager it's no wonder he can't get a response from the squad.
  12. Away fans have turned, his position is untenable. Pretty sure Southampton will be a toxic atmosphere.
  13. I completely agree. From day one I'll happily admit I wanted Lambert. I thought he could rebuild us but time has proven that he's just not upto the task and with failing to do so he's damaged his own reputation. I think the only remaining positive outcome would be for us to go our separate ways.
  14. A pragmatic manager like Roy Hodgson or dare I say it Tony Pulis would be getting better results than Lambert currently is. And the football arguably wouldn't be any worse.
  15. We're safe but only because this league is full of dreadful teams.
  16. Simple enough for me now. Lambert has took us as far as he can. Has shown no sign of figuring out our home form. Yesterday was a new low and he shouldn't have anymore chances.
  17. We won't be able to replace Gabby if he leaves. Unless Lambert finally promotes some of our own youth and gives em a run.
  18. Even though we may still be 12th? Is this a serious question? Our league placing to me is far more determined by the weakness of other teams rather than a mistaken sign of progress. Lambert is making Brendan Rodgers look like a genius in comparison to the rebuild each have undertaken. Yes Liverpool were at a better starting point and have had better resources than our selves. But Liverpool have had the tougher nut to crack to try and regain top 4 status. Personally I think they look most likely to win the league now too. What an achievement that would be by Rodgers. Meanwhile we plod along and should but great full for the handful of games our team turns up to. What makes it ever more infuriating is the inability to beat teams on 'our' level. We know the players have the talent because when expectation is low and we are well and truly underdogs we excel against the top sides. This is solely in the hands of Lambert to improve results now.
  19. In the simplest terms, if we don't beat Fulham, Lambert should go. His reputation is in tatters, and it's not the fact he's had to work within fierce financial constraints. It's now because he's proving himself to be unable to motivate his own squad of players on a consistent basis. Never mind the inability to come up with a tactical plan to win games at home.
  20. Him and Delph have been our most consistant players this season, he seems to be a maligned player as he keeps things simple but thought he was class against united. Him, Delph and Albrighton were the only ones wanting the ball. IMO being let down by players at either end of the pitch. If Benteke takes those chances and we defend with any sort of resistance we could have got a result at Old Trafford.
  21. Regardless of our result against stoke, we should win at old trafford. This is in my years the worst performing group of united players I've seen.
  22. Never seen anything like it, a player not celebrating for scoring against a team he might have joined. I liked what I saw of him though, would have made a decent addition. Houghton is an absolute shit house for picking him, barely played all season then picked against us. I'm sure he wanted a situation to arise so to scape goat Hoolahan. I think it's backfired in all honesty.
  23. After initially with holding judgement, I'm struggling to see that he offers us more than poor helenius.
  24. Glad you mentioned this Chris. I never saw anymore said about it after the match but thought it was a bizarre incident.
