Money talks but he'll definitely have on eye on Sancho and Bellingham's development. Whether he'll replicate their experience is not certain however.

Luckily I can expand my mind past 1 player/position. Yes, Sanson should be starting but since he didn't just come on and do well for the England U-19s I unfortunately find myself in the Chukwuemeka thread. Carney, in addition to Sanson and others, deserves and is capable of more playing time than he is currently being afforded. Is that a fair opinion sir?

Unfortunately for Carney it seems like the current hierarchy prefer their favourites over giving a chance to other players who play well and throw their hat in the ring. He'd be mad to turn down a move to Dortmund at this point.

I'd rather base any comparison with Harvey Barnes on his performances in England which, so far, have been lacklustre.

Early on in the Arsenal game Mings was shouting and pointing at Ramsey to drop into space to receive a pass. I thought this was basic stuff, pass and move, but it's been prevalent in the Villa midfield for years now. What am I missing exactly? Him, McGinn and Douglas (less so) are constantly stood still and walking around. This is why I'd like to see Buendia play deeper, at least the bloke puts himself about, wants the ball and moves into space.

He's a great player who's perfectly suited to our style of play, being played out of position in a midfield alongside statues. Criticism of him has been fair recently but should be directed toward the staff and not the player.

What frustrates me is dropping him doesn’t mean he’s done as a Villa player. Give him a **** rest. Imagine him coming off the bench with those gutsy runs?

..and it comes to this. Instead of rotating, trying different combinations and keeping players fresh he runs them ragged and then destroys their confidence before, we hope, conceding that other players deserve a chance. Ridiculous man management.

I'd love to see McGinn come on fresh either when chasing a goal or trying to protect a lead. Imagine him bursting forward and swivelling around tired opposition players.
