You're bang on the money unfortunately. I think Gerrard has to drop Coutinho now and if he doesn't alarm bells should be ringing.

My issues with Watkins arise when he's displacing Danny Ings or breaking down attacks. However, with Ings alongside him and a misfiring midfield behind him he gets about and scores goals which is exactly what we need. I just wish Gerrard would use him, and others, more effectively. Any criticism of Watkins should lie squarely on the coaching team, not Ollie. He tries and he scores, it's hard to argue with that at present.

I thought he looked hesitant at times but fair play to the lad he was getting stuck in. Hope to see more of him from the bench.

I wish I could see his running statistics because he always looks absolutely wasted.

Why are we looking to buy Coutinho when we have Buendia? Coutinho has gone stale and is far too expensive when we have the perfect replacement sat on the bench.

Played terribly once again and I wouldn't be surprised if he just gave up in that first half. Like others he does not deserve to start.

About the only positive I can take at the minute. Great to see him on the pitch!

A real student of the game, his only impression on our squad so far is turning them into nasty bastards who are more interesting in fouling the opposition than playing football. I’m fast losing interest and this is no better than under Smith.

Some discernible tactics that play to our players strengths would bring a tear to my eye.
