His post-match interview is such a breath of fresh air it’s unbelievable. I think he should be in the running for the job after such a turnaround and if our top targets (Poch and co.) won’t make up their minds I’d be happy for Danks to continue until the WC at the very least. What an impact. He seemed to have a great connection with some of the players which was a nice surprise. I love that he focused on a video of the players all sprinting back together in the 86th minute to defend a counter attack. It’s brilliant, simple, effective stuff.

Another example is Les Ferdinand. A great player in his day but assuming you watched the game against Fulham you'll know he was spouting absolute shite about Gerrard and Villa. His playing career means **** all if he doesn't bother to watch the games and then forms an opinion based on one half of highlights. I'll take the video gamers thanks.

Pinch of salt and all, I've learned that from VT, but hearing from fans who watch these managers/players/teams every week is pretty insightful. It was only until recently that a lot of Prem fans thought McGinn was on top of his game. It was Villa fans online who had to let them know that he's been shite for months.
