The players have never been the problem for where we are in the table. Gerrard benching the likes of Buendia and Douglas is an insult to football.

Can we take a moment to recognise that Emery the Great turned down Newcastle in November of 2021 because they had a "lack of a clear vision" only to then join Villa less than a year later. Say what you will about the Gerrard appointment but they've redeemed themselves here.
