Regarding the lack of rumours let's not forget Villa, for whatever reason, are now incredibly good at keeping things quiet. Many of our signings seemingly came out of nowhere and I'm hoping the same thing will happen with Gerrard's replacement.

My issue with him is his complete lack of ball control. That's pretty strange, especially for a winger. The bloke often can't trap a ball and plays like he has timberlands on his feet.
