For my undergraduate degree the grade boundaries were approximately: First Class - 70% above Upper Second (2:1) - 60% to 69% Lower Second (2:2) - 50% to 59% Obviously the boundaries get shifted somewhat, but from memory it was close to the above.

I'm sure games never used to finish 6-0, i don't know whats happening lately. There seems to have been an abnormally large number of high scoring games over the last couple of seasons.

That's nice to know - which ones? I'll keep the tips coming. I've picked up a couple of Hemingway books recently, and i've also just ordered my first Ellroy (The Black Dahlia) and The Age of Wonder. Reading VT whilst slightly pissed and with access to amazon is a dangerous thing...
