Did I ever post about the fellow I used to know whose name was Henry, only to give you an idea of how much of an individualist he was, he spelled it Hen3ry (the three was silent, you see).
Tom Lehrer, nice one!
Yule (joulu) Goat (pukki) is the literal translation of those two words, although the actual word Joulupukki just means Santa rather than Yule goat. I'm reliably informed that the Swedish one is wrong as well.
I'm reminded of a fellow I used to know called "Henry", only to give you an idea of how much of an individualist he was, he spelled it Hen3ry... the "3" was silent, you see.
Tom Lehrer, well done sir!
It's fine now. I got an error message when I tried to add the £20 donation option to my shopping cart, but just checked and it works fine. Probably a problem at my end.
Surprisingly good isn't it? I'm off to see them on Friday, hope it's a good one.
How was it?
BTW Mike Love is still a knob
It was excellent, although Wembley Arena is about as soulless a venue as I've ever been to.
Brian was in good voice and seemed to enjoy it, as was Al. Mike was **** embarrassing though, absolutely zero stagecraft and comes across as a creepy clearing in the woods (funny that...). His vocals were also poor, but then he was never the greatest was he.
The backing band was predominantly the same as the one that supported Brian for the Smile tour I think. They were excellent, totally carried the show. Decent setlist too, not just the hits.
A quick web search suggests 11 English players have played for Real Madrid:
England (11): Beckham, Cunningham, Johnson, Lindsey, Linney, McManaman, Owen, Stampher, Vickerstaff, Wallace and Woodgate.
Apart from the obvious 5 I'm stumped on the rest!
