Interesting - I always factor in how many weeks you have been in the bottom 3 - QPR/Burnley/Leicester - seem to have spent an age down there - I reckon 2 of those 3 will go down. I know some have significantly harder run ins than others - but being in the bottom 3 seems to weigh you down - in general you don't just jump out of it come May....

First 20 minutes are key for me - to often when we play Liverpool they are out of sight by half time with a flurry of goals - if we can keep it tight - I can confident we can nick one or two goals at the other end.....

Might be an agreement that he does a bit of scouting for us now and again - but is not a full time employee........would seem a huge resource to have a dedicated goalkeeping scout....

I imagine a lot of it will have been down to confidence. I know he's had a fair amount of game time out on loan and he's looked pretty good, but turning out for a prem team, especially one where he wants to prove he's worth keeping in the team, is pretty nerve wrecking for a young lad. As he plays more and feels himself that he belongs in the team, we'll see more of what he's about. And like you say, he'll then be better on the ball in regards to riding/shielding challenges rather than drawing fouls. Where did he go on loan ?

I like your thinking. Forgot Leicester who would need 2 wins + 1 draw to overtake us from 7 games It all looks so positive when you look at it that way. I'll be happier if we win another couple though! I just remember last when we beat chelsea and it took us to 35 points - we then went on a horror run and were all shitting ourselves ! - although in the end , 35 points would have been enough !!!

I always get nervous when CS has the ball - in a way that I don't with AW ! On a good day I'd take Sanchez - but you always know what you get with Westy - he is tidy - but not that dynamic

The toughening up will come Im sure - His decision making also needs a bit of work - Id like to see him shoot at the end of those mazy runs he goes on (Wembley would be good !) - and sometimes he hangs onto the ball too long...

Could it possibly be that 32 pts is already enough ? Simple scenario would be that neither QPR or Burnley win 2 or there remaing 5 or 6 games (Not that unfeasible) - Or Hull only win 1 - If Sunderland won 1 it would be very tight on goal difference

I booked with Broadway - I have used them before and always been pleased...................not anymore !!!!! They recommended one hotel - urged me to get in quick at this price - I checked the reviews on tripadvisor - all seemed good - so I booked - It was only when my kids were reading the reviews that although they were good, it was mainly a couple and singles hotel - not a family hotel as I had requested - I emailed Broadway (Hours after booking) - and was told I could change it no problem - however the prices to changes were very uncompetitive - I complained that I had been 'duped' into booking a Holiday with them - I took my complaint all the way to ABTA - but they ruled no ABTA guidelines had been broken.... Company have turned into a nightmare, I can't get to print my tickets before 7 days, and for the return journey I have been told they will be emailed so I have to print them while abroad ! - now I have been told they will be faxed to the hotel ! - they blame Ryan Air for everything - but do nothing to help Be warned - its not the company it used to be....

I will be honest I have always (and still am) concerned about his inexperience - there's a chance that Vlaar and Benteke will leave this summer - and we have a rookie manager trying to replace those ........on a budget ! He seems unable to change our shape during games - this cost us v QPR and Swansea. Thats said I like what hear when he talks - his 'get the the ball to Benteke' - was pretty obvious - but bang on the money - as was his comments after Newcastle 'like the effort but give me quality' was also an astute observation. However he has steered with a whisker of safety - no mean feat considering how we were performing when he arrived - he seems confident and knows what he wants....barring a takeover he looks like he will get next season - if he keeps up mid table then no complaints from me...(or not many )

The problems start for Baker when he's played week in \ Week out - covering for short term injuries hes always done a job for us IMO.

Yes - he best form for us was when were playing slow sideways passes with 8 men behind the ball, That said Id give him a second season - for me he has the ability - but just has moments of madness
