I would be happy if I thought MON had lots of cash to spend in the window. I don't believe this any more. and no statement from the club will make me believe this. So I voted no. All agree that the club spin/pr has ground to a halt this week - they just can't be trusted anymore

Well the fact that he played last night - would suggest that no deal is close. Reports suggest that Barry - got changed after being subbed - then left the ground - doesn't sound like a player who's trying to build bridges. - I do reckon this deal is holding up any inwards transfers to villa though.

Yes - we need a right back \goalkeeper\ right midfielder this would give us the right back - and the funds to get 2 more players

If we have a net spend much above £10m this summer I will be happily surprised. I obstacles that MON has encountered so far seem to stem around the players he wants 'not being available' - I really can't see this changing. As someone else have said - if MON has a large transfer pot - why is signing the likes of Routledge, Knight & Harewood ? - I reckon it will be a usual villa summer one sizeable signing, a couple of £4m guys - then some overseas unknowns for a further £1m.
