That sudden burst of transfer activity a couple of weeks ago set my head in overdrive. Now I'm dropping by VT and Newsnow at least 20 times a day and the interesting news and juicy speculations is all but dried up! I suffer something akin to transfer withdrawal syndrome.

Thank the Internet gods for existing, for without we would never know about the absolutely magic performer that is John Daker. Clip from American Christian cable TV in the early 90s. -
It's like ten thousand spoons! Actually, almost twenty thousand by now, adjusted for cutlery inflation.

All things considered, selling him for 12 mill plus > loaning any day of the week. For all the reasons mentioned above. And I really like Davis and would be happy to see him succeed and realize his potential. Besides FFP, those money could go a long way in financing a hell of an academy if we want to think along those lines.

So it isn't an idiom or a known expression? Not even a tiny bit? I'm flabbergasted as well as gobsmacked, as well as other wonderful words in that area.

Cheers, think I'll just retire from gif making now, might be the last and only chance to quit while on top.

Seems Bassey is one of those rather rare signings both "one for the future" but also right now capable of covering several spots as a back up and be happy about it. Also, if his work ethics and the willingness to put in a shift to improve is as splendid as the impression so far, this could be an excellent buy. Both thumbs up.

I have absolutely no idea what it means, but insane stuff like that is why I love the English language.

So, Bissy, Bassy, Tarky and a new striky. Would make me a happy pappy.

There will always be missed sitters like that, even with galactic superstars strikers. Best way to ensure more goals is to create more chances and better chances.

Villa's Newsnow is brimming with articles about Steven Gerrard's supposed opinions on all things Liverpool and whatnot. Getting slightly annoying. Oh well, ten new publications in the spam filter.

That would be his fifteenth spell in the Villa squad, more or less. Has to be a record of some sort.

Would have been a completely unnecessary signing. We already have Jaden Philogene-Bidace to cover the "posh last name" slot.
-
Perhaps he was sold on finally getting to play on his natural foot.

For what it's worth.

Several days gone now without us buying an exciting world class player. Boo, everyone out.

I like this rumor: Maxence Lacroix Admittedly, I like it purely based on the price tag and most of the article really being about Paul McGrath, but hey. Silly season speculation is fun, sky's the limit.

I don't care what the song is, as long as the player get the pet name "Boub-Kam" or something like that!
-
Even more frustrating than last match. Stevie, bring in the best mental coaches there is, if you haven't already.
-
The display was frustrating. No way we can be pleased with dominating this much and barely getting one point. Buendia and Ings offered much needed dynamics in our attack, we need more of that. And I can't help to think...we have bunches of talent, but too much of the time it feels like we have the handbrake on. Might...it be enough to get a really good DM to finally get this team to tick?
-
Surely you mean a damp squid. I'm willing to bet my pedal stool on that.
-
Well. Two mid table teams delivering a forgettable game. Not exactly a shocking development. Even if we are allowed to hope for some more magic, given the players we have. Or at least what they have the potential to be.
-
Bit optimistic, Buendia.
