James Ward-Prowse has been known to the locals for many centuries, but it was only in 1933 he became a national celebrity, after a vacationing doctor managed to snap a photo allegedly showing the legendary midfielder's head and upper body breaking the surface of the local lake. It is speculated that the lake had a whole family of Ward-Prowses, and that extensive road building along the lake in the 1930s ruined the family's regular living area, making them homeless vagabonds. This can explain the increased number of Ward-Prowse sightings in the years after. This is taken from memory, so some details MAY belong to another myth.
