  1. There was a moment where Bailey got hold of the ball in our half and somehow, through both awesome skill and sheer tenacity, brought it unharmed through a whole bunch of united players, after which he sent a perfect pass to Watkins who completely bottled it in front of goal. Twenty seconds later they scored and the game was pretty much downhil from there. Holy Maloney though! That move from Bailey. He turned into my favorite player right there and then.
  2. In his defence, those keepers rarely meet manure. That said: Olsen is not inspiring to watch at all.
  3. Win or lose, Emery is certainly going to get some answers tonight.
  4. They will have to pay us £ 100 mill and Jack Grealish, in that case.
  5. It's not a glitch in the Matrix, yet it plays as one!
  6. Reports suggest he's considering buying a villa as well.
  7. It might just be me, but I haven't got the faintest interest in how the f he greets people, or how a bunch of idiots make it sound. In an ideal world no one would even mention it anymore but focus on the game and what he can do for the Villa, and for me Emery might as well waltz into all press meetings wearing a marilyn monroe whig, speaking in tongues and greet us by playing a random Beatles song on a trombone with his bare ass. OK, in that case even I might be tempted to find the youtube clip.
  8. As much as the thought of having an UE directed shopping spree excites me, I have to admit that my immediate interest will be to see the difference Emery can make for the exisisting team. Our squad is full of talented, exciting players which, for varying reasons, haven't gotten out what many rightfully was hoping to see. As time has passed with nothing much to show in terms of convincing, fun football, this has been far too easy to forget. Let Emery's man management abilities shine and what should come out of it is wast improvement in lots of areas: physically, technically, mentally as well as tactically and the ability to play to each other's strengths instead of...well, the opposite. Trying very hard not to get ahead of myself, but this batch of players, spiced up with a youngster or two, might very well be an absolute revelation both collectively and individually. The capacity for good European league class football is there already, I'm convinced of that. Let the good times begin!
  9. Unai and Lander Emery? Those names sound like taken straight from an Isaac Asimov novel.
  10. To be frank, I would first want to see at least five players already in the squad, being transformed.
  11. Cracking signing, for all those reasons. And, we have significant funds to use as well! This is, like, a very good day.
  12. OK, guys, you have convinced me. I'm approving Emery for the Villa. Let's go to the radio already!
  13. Man, looking at that next to the other one really makes you feel the effects of rapid global warming, doesn't it.
  14. I'm seriously scared of this going into double digits. City wants to top Liverpool doing 9 and Villa is tragically there for the taking, big time.
  15. As long as you're not specuprognosticaturbating with any close blood relatives, you should be ok.
  16. Excellent business. Only saddened by the thought of the agent getting their share.
  17. Is he really that good? Have to admit I haven't seen anything special about him when playing against proper opposition. What exactly is it that makes all the top clubs eager for him (disregarding agents), are there any stats that points towards extreme abilities?
  18. I can't wait to watch Leo against Bournemouth. He'll rip them apart.
