  1. His time at Chelsea was a disaster only managing to win the FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League, and the European Championships for Spain.
  2. So that’s 2 nights in custody then, court tomorrow. Just waiting for Man United to announce their pre-season friendly against Mykonos Town.
  3. There’s a reports on Twitter that after hitting one the police officers Maguire tried to bribe him. This could get very messy!
  4. Messi will have to slash his wage demands to around £20m a year basic in order to find someone to sign him Imagine that conversation with the wife. I know, I know it’s a lot less than I’m on but £20m is still good money, we’re going to be ok.
  5. I only caught about 5 minutes in the car, wasn’t Deano.
  6. No footage of the fracas yet? I’d have thought if a Man United and England player was in a fight in public there would be dozens of cameras filming it.
  7. There was a manager (didn’t catch who it was) on TalkSport earlier saying how tricky the market is. If you sell before you buy the other clubs know you’ve got money so prices go up. If you buy before you sell you could end up doubled up on players which becomes financially crippling. It made me think about Grealish. If a big money deal was done for him to leave Villa would be trying their hardest to keep it under wraps until they’ve got replacements agreed for those reasons.
  8. United still getting penalties after the season has finished
  9. High profile footballer goes on the piss in resort full of other pissed up Brits... what could go wrong?
  10. This is the challenge, make them bothered. If he can do that then he’ll have earned his salary.
  11. You should tell the court of arbitration for sport they made a mistake then.
  12. Man City were guilty of not supporting the enquiry weren’t they? They were cleared of breaking the rules as far as I am aware. Regardless, I was referring to the situation when those clubs were purchased. The FFP rules that exist now didn’t really apply then (they’re probably at least partly the reason FFP exists).
  13. Jeff Bezos could buy them but still not be able to do a Man City / Chelsea. The rules won’t allow it anymore.
  14. Tbh I just looked up his stats and they are quite a bit worse than I thought.
  15. Danny Wellbeck has a release clause of £5.5m (apparently of course). He’d be alright as long as he wasn’t the main striker wouldn’t he?
  16. I don’t go into Birmingham very often but when I do it always strikes me how there’s about half a dozen roads that have been regenerated and the other 90% are like a shit hole.
  17. An old friend of mine shared some poor taste meme about Harvey Price. One of his fb “friends” took offence, screenshot it and sent it to his employer. He got the sack. Just a thought for those people commenting on that story.
  18. Here's a fact for you - man of the moment, Bayern's Serge Gnabry once graced the pitch at Tamworth FC playing for West Brom’s U23s against Swansea City.
  19. We’ve learned over the last few months that big business can operate remotely in many cases. So there’s even less incentive to build a ludicrously expensive trainline to save 40 minutes as the journey isn’t even required anymore.

    U.S. Politics

Did Donald Trump really say that people need to vote to “save our country”? Save it from him? He’s the one running it into the ground. So bizarre.
  21. My brother in law also a tradesman has never been so busy. He’s got his dad (retired) helping him now as people spend money on there houses rather than holidays. He’s also claimed the free money dished out by the government. He’s got more money than he’s ever had. Would it have been too much to expect that grants to tradesmen went to those who weren’t/couldn’t work?
  22. I know what you mean, mine have settled down a bit now. On a normal school day they’d have breakfast at home (cereal and fruit), then just after registration they have access to bagels (a free snack the school provides to ensure all the kids have eaten), then they have break time about 10:30 and a snack which they take in or buy. Lunch at 12:00 (always 2 courses). Quick snack in afternoon break and then home, where they complain about how hungry they are until tea time (about 17:00). My lad is very active and naturally quite skinny. The daughter is not so lucky and has put some pounds on. We’ve had to cut right back on snacks and sweets to get then shed again.
  23. Then about 48 hours before they are due to arrive they’ll drop the bombshell that they don’t have enough class rooms to effectively socially distance the kids so they will do a 1 week on 1 week off system.
