  1. I would see going for half time pee and not having to wait so long as a much improved part to my match day experience!
  2. I've had this, this season at Arsenal, I was sent one ticket (my Dads) and my ticket was to be collected from the ground - had no issue with that, but the organisation from Villas end was pathetic On the subject of away tickets, I think the £30 cost helps massively as most before the cap would be £40-50 region, it was bad enough in the championship with Leeds and Wednesday being £45ish. In the days pre relegation I would go 5-10 aways a season and would never have issues getting tickets, even Albion and Scum would make it down to Season ticket holders, now I find I have to attend pretty much every away when in reality I CBA with many of them, after having a child I'll be done with the aways after this season, I have real respect for those that go week in week out rain or shine which is why I don't see how the current system can change, they are far more dedicated than I will ever be One tip from me though - if a game makes it down to season ticket holders only, make sure you are on the website and logged in a few minutes before 5PM, and then just select your quantity of tickets required on the "best available" option, and don't mess about with selecting individual seats. My mate who I sit with has managed away tickets with no away booking history this season for Southampton this weekend, Arsenal & Newcastle of the top of my head, if you miss out keep checking for returns, it can be done.
  3. Spot on, no need to make so many changes yesterday, we have 2 realistic chances of winning a cup each season and unless anything significant changes that will continue to be the case, yet we make wholesale changes in both competitions and once again are out in both at the early stages, no major trophy in what 26 years now and counting? Its a farce and once again our season is over in January. 7 years without a win in the FA cup - an embarrassment. As for that keeper, we can go on about the defending of the corner but any semi competent keeper should not be getting beat at his near post like that, he has cost us heavily in both now and I still cannot understand why he playing in the first place and Martinez is on the bench.
  4. Gave my 2 to a mate and his child, the kick off times are really putting me off currently, Saturday 3 PM I would have gone. I also think considering the kick off time, its on BBC, they could have made it £10 adults and £5 children, especially considering the 2 league games either side and the diabolical pricing of the Wolves game.
  5. Does the line back to Sutton still stop at Duddlestone? Would that be any closer than walking back to New Street?

    Tickets

Couldn't agree more, certainly doesn't encourage the more casual fans to turn up and buy a ticket.

    Pubs

Lime bar in recent seasons has been good for away fans, big bar also so not so bad to get served
  8. This this and this again. The fight starts from the front and how Jesus did a great job of that, Watkins is pathetic, although that could be said for many of them.
  9. Nice kit, eagerly awaits the 20% ebay code!
  10. Put in Grand junction way into google maps, its a 10 minute walk to the ground, its a half decent housing estate which the Walsall fans I know park on there and have never had any issues, but I would get there early. Otherwise there is a big car park at the ground but its an absolute nightmare to get out after the game, I think its £5 but its a good hour plus wait, you can also park at the train station but not sure how many spaces it has. If you park on the retail park I'm sure its something like 2 hours only I've known people park at the Morrisons nearby, but again it has a fixed time period you can stay for if I remember right. I would imagine enforcement officers will be out in force this Saturday
  11. They have opened the upper tier now in the home end, so if anyone has missed out I would just purchase there, knowing quite a few Walsall fans they have very little interest in this game, bar the lower tier behind the goal, you won't get many Walsall fans attending this game.
  12. The view was bad enough from the away end, and I was at the front of the upper tier, so I dread to think what the view is from the back, could barely see the opposite goal from where I was.
  13. Exactly this, after many years of them wanting Bonsour out they got rent a quote Pomlett, who has been nothing short of a disaster, pretty much turnover a squad season after season (they have just signed a 40 year old from Tranmere) Getting the noose that is the freehold on the ground back will be huge for them, I think around 500K a season for many years they have had to pay to Bonsour, no reason why they cant be a competitive club towards the top half of league 1, with an aging fan base and the dross they are fed season after season they will probably see this as a real positive step
  14. Kits are all smart imo, with the exception of the ghastly print on badge, the one thing Kappa got absolutely spot on with that nice rubberised badge.
  15. With the amount of pillars obstructing the view it should be!
  16. Good, plain and traditional The past 2 home Kappa shirts have been dreadful with the dodgy stripes on the claret body, and no crappy Kappa badges on the arms to peel off
  17. You are right, he posts fairly regularly on Twitter about what he is going through, I think he is a very unwell man, rivalries aside, I hope he had a good evening.
  18. Q&A on twitter Villa support about to start in regards to season tickets. I expected mine to go up, would be interesting to compare it to those around us in the table at the minute in terms of what we pay
  19. 0 for me, the club made a big thing about missing the fans and all that nonsense during lockdown, so lumping a sizeable hike on fans season tickets after only 1 season back, especially when many on this forum are no doubt feeling the current pinch of costs rising, I think quite frankly stinks.
  20. And yet Ings gets 9 minutes, truly baffling!
  21. Agree with this, I find it very irritating how easily he gets brushed off the ball, his hold up play also is poor, which is why I find it odd at times we sacrifice Ings first, who's hold up play IMO is pretty good
  22. Link I've booked this, £15 but a short walk to the ground, might be handy but apparently they sell out fast
  23. Thanks appreciated - is it a nightmare after the game waiting for a coach to get back to the racecourse?
  24. Agree - I shake my head in disbelief at times.
  25. Along with we are fickle as we want Gerrard out, in reality a handful on Twitter must of commented "Gerrard out", whom obviously speak for the majority of us
