Don't understand the criticism Chelsea get for buying players to loan out in the hope one of two may make the 1st team or make a profit. I think from a business point of view it's an excellent idea and they have been extremely savvy in doing it. FFP means you have to be creative in creating new revenue streams. Buying players to loan out, in the hope they (may) turn a profit or are able to challenge for a first team spot makes good sense. (Morals aside maybe) if Dr X is really serious about buying other teams we should definitley follow their lead and buy the best youth we can (in our position) get them playing first team football in whatever league. So hopefully a. One or two make it into our first team b. We can sell them on for more than than we paid for them.

Dream scenario for me would be x4 distinct stands with a sliding roof & pitch. Build a hotel on the land between the holte & pub. Then we will have a super duper all purpose stadium with excellent transport links and can host concerts/trade shows/boxing etc all year round, not just in the off season. With the hallowed turf protected, the stadium could create a lot more revenue on non match days. I heard from someone who works at Atkins engineering about Randy's previous plans and he said they were similar to Chelsea's shed end with an inbuilt club shop, museum, conference centre, can't remember if he said a hotel also. Plenty of scope for development.
