  1. Wiemann's head has gone, Vlaar going off is massive. Big, big loss.
  2. Yes but we can't pass the ball. We keep on giving them the ball straight back.
  3. Okay - last time we put 10 passes together? Improved performance but still so frustratingly poor with the ball.
  4. edit Please delete, now sorted. Obviously updating my graphics card drivers worked a treat!
  5. Reading the SI forums it seems the ME is all over the shop. I can't see it being playable until the Christmas patch. I know we can thank capitalism but imagine if the guys we allowed to release a Football Manager and build it over a few years based on the feed back. The need for 'shiny new' really stunts the games potential. In saying that though, when the game is eventually patched it still always consumes plenty of hours - and perhaps we take for granted how good FM is. I might go and have a game of Fifa Manger to remind myself... Roll on xmas.
  6. I think starting line up v starting line up it's a very close match up. They are organised and will sit deep enough to combat a counter attacking strategy. No out and out front man for them could mean a comfortable afternoon for our back 4 providing we can shut off the threat down the wings and get them hitting direct balls through the centre. I don't think there's any need to overly press them - stay organised, stay on your feet and let them try to force something - They'll give you the ball eventually. I personally can't see us breaking them down and can see them perhaps nicking it with a set piece. If we create the chances we created last week, we'll win the game. Prediction 1-0 reverse,
  7. Looks like 4-3-3. Baker LB, Lowton RB and Bacuna pushing up to RW. The lack of genuine width is worrying, in fact the lack of genuine quality on the wings is worrying even when we have a fully fit squad. We can still get a result but it's going to be difficult to break them down you feel.
  8. After deciding which console, the next question is when to buy? Any body have any idea when the price will come down? I doubt it will be until well into 2014, start of 2nd quarter?
  9. Incredible. I don't think I've ever seen a better episode of TV than that.
  10. Been an XBOX man for years now, but so tempted by a PS4.... Any one in the same boat?
  11. I think a 'minimum fee release clause' system similar to Spain could work. The fee is always absurdly high, in Benteke's case it could be £70M. At least then then if the vultures do start circling then the stance could be 'he's under contract for 3 more years and if you want him then you know the price'.I'm not sure if it works in Spain or even if it would stop agent/player games but we need to start keeping our best players to stand a chance of progression. On the flip side of course it could also scupper our own chances of signing players. Difficult!
  12. I think its quite obvious what they are trying to do....question is how Villa will play this once it goes much further? I think its even more obvious that they simply don't have enough money. This is Spurs, not Chelsea or Citeh. How can they possibly afford nearly £50m on two players without: A: Selling a bunch smaller assets (Adebayor £5m, Huddlestone £5m etc.) B: Selling their biggest asset for a large fee (Bale £60m) I'm sorry but they're going into the Europa League, they don't have a multi-billionaire owner and they certainly don't turnover huge amounts profit. Breaking their transfer fee record twice within a month or so is no small feat. Their Owner ENIC ..Jo Lewis is the majority shareholder worth and estimated $4.2 billion dollars He doesn't bank roll the club though reading through the Spurs forums...
  13. £25M isn't enough. If Arsenal had signed him, he'd had the same impact and Madrid came sniffing... £35M+ with out a shadow.
  14. Benteke obviously want's to get to the top as quickly as he can and Spurs sadly are very much 'on the up'. Not to mention the exta cash for player and agent...You can't knock him at all for fancying the Spurs move when you look at their squad. He could very plausibly out do last seasons 23 goals. What is sad is that we can't really sell a future vision to him ala the Tottenham model because Paul Lambert is heading a much more organic operation and Randy rightly wants to make the club self sustainable. I just hope that we do play hard ball over the fee and that we draw it out slightly so that Benteke has to have the embarrassment of returning to training. On one hand it's impressive to make such a big profit on a player giving Lambert the chance to strengthen again but on the other Benteke isn't a one season wonder. He'll be one the top scorers in the League for a long time to come imo and it's sad to lose him and so soon.

  16. Thanks Limpid. I'm just worried about spending a lot of cash and not get value. I want something that can handle a good few Leagues on FM and that will do for a few years. Will Haswell reduce the price of mobile i7s and is it worth waiting? Cheers again.
