  1. How come Barca are still 5 points off Madrid even after winning at the Bernabeu a few weeks ago? Who have they dropped points against recently?
  2. He started against Manure and was awful. He played half the game against Arsenal and didn't do much from memory. And the reason he went out of the team in the first place was his own bleeding fault by crashing the car...before that he'd started 5-6 games in a row.
  3. I'd keep him as I dread to think who McLeish would come up with as his replacement. Probably garbage like Keith Andrews or Lee Bowyer.
  4. Keep him until the summer. If QPR stay up they'd still want him.
  5. If every foreign player who didn't immediately set the prem on fire was let go after 6 months, the likes of Henry and Drogba wouldn't have made an impact at all. Makoun needed more time although I get the feeling he didn't really want to stay here once Houllier went.
  6. It was a corner initally. Collins actually did get back but Donovan easily cut past him and then passed to Anichebe. Actually the pass to Ireland was a really good throughball from....Marc Albrighton.
  7. Who's your left back for this summer then, Marc Wilson or Stephen Ward?
  8. Bannan has been poor since he crashed the car, that incident has affected him in a big way I'd say.
  9. First of all i've seen every game for about 4 years now as a season ticket holder that still turns up through the good and bad i feel have a right to my opinion! I have already stated this is not personal, i dont kno the man but i have an opinion on how he performs his job. I hate the way he performs and when i pay £400 a year to see players like him i get disappointed. I would love to be wrong, massively. I would love him to come good but from what i have seen in the last two and a bit seasons where he has been abouti think he is another youth olayer going no where. He will soon be with stefan moore driving taxis for a living.
  10. This. Albrighton was poor yesterday and if his crossing is wayward which it was he struggles to contribute much else. However he's been better over this last month to suggest he's putting his poor form behind him so I'd say he can have a good second half of the season and set up some goals for Bent.
  11. He's in worse form now than he was when Houllier banned him from playing imo. Get rid in the summer.
  12. The problem was he was playing so deep today....why when it's Phil Bleeding Neville at RB not Dani Alves! You can't seriously convince me Mcleish was worried about Neville's dangerous runs from RB surely?!
  13. He finds space so well on the pitch but no one ever passes to him as Collins would rather hoof the ball 30 yards to Bent or Gabby. :| Only real footballers in our squad on his wavelength are Bannan and possibly N'zog and Keane.
  14. We had much more talent in the squad last year than we do know...Both Youngs, Downing, Kyle Walker, arguably Makoun. Ireland was excellent after his assist for about 10 minutes, was popping up everywhere and pulling the strings. Just one regret that he couldn't quite get the ball through to Bent when he broke through at I think 1 nil. He'll like the Holte End signing his name without question...a player that needs to feel like he's being loved and then he will respond.
  15. I'll ask again as I got ignored the last time, but since when is Darren Bent decent in the air? He's scored a few for us....scored from a cross at West Ham last season and then a week later scored a magnificent header at home t Stoke. He scored quite a few at Sunderland, I remember a great leap at Bolton on his Sunderland debut. I agree he's not great from general play and flicking on long hoofs from Collins but get enough crosses in and Bent will eventually flick one in.
  16. I believe Heathrow would be/was in addition to the Euston terminal. I haven't read the detail of the HS2 proposal and current agreement so have the following questions for those who have! Is the Heathrow connection still proposed? Where is the connection at Birmingham International going to be (a new station?)? Living just a minute from M42 junction 1, I currently use the M42 and park up at B'ham Int. which takes just 20 minutes and saves the time/connection hassle of the journey in to New Street. What is the predicted travel time from B'ham Int. to Euston? Will there be a through service to HS1 and Paris/Brussels albeit with perhaps a 20 minute turnaround at St. Pancras Int.? Will I be able to use it with my staff privelige pass - any clue Rev? The Times say there will be four stations for HS2, Euston and Curzon street obviously, Old oak Common which will be a station in North west London for some reason and a Birmingham Interchange station near Park Hall nature reserve wherever that is so don't think International station will actually be used! I'm surprised if there's no link to Birmingham International airport/station. Perhaps 'Park Hall nature reserve' is in fact a field next to the airport/station! I've worked at Old Oak Common. It's a dump at the moment but there is a lot of room for a new station that would serve a couple of million people who live in the suburbs of North and West London well; it's pointless travelling South/East in to Euston to come back out again. It's by water Orton so about 10 minutes to BHX. You already have Coleshill Parkway in that area which is a sort of transport hub to the airport.

  18. That reminds me of a programme BBC did a few months ago on HS2. The main campaigner against HS2 Jerry Marshall I think, was at Curzon Street and he couldn't even find new street, took him 20 minutes to go there! Don't know if he is a brummie or not but dosen't really reflect well on him that?! I imagine some sort of mono-rail/tram system will get built as it's quite a steep uphill walk to get to new street so wouldn't be great for people with luggage.
  19. I actually don't think he does, most of the free kicks he's taken for us have been wretched.
  20. Exactly. But surely people knew Milner from his previous spell at the club; a player who never was never shy of putting in a shift, even when he was poor you knew he was doing his best. Charles to be fair looks a little shy at times... Didn't stop plenty of people questioning him on here, the 12m fee (I said he would be worth every penny and was proved right), his crossing ability, his shooting, why he wasn't scoring more goals. I remember at the time Rocafella (whatever happened to him, a right whinge bag even when we were doing well) saying we should've signed SWP instead!
  21. Inter doing much better close to the top 4 now, Meelan derby should be a good watch on Sunday.
  22. Milner's a better example, he took a while to even get in our team and really got going from February 2009 which was 5 months after he signed.
  23. TV games will be announced by the end of the week. I imagine ESPN will pick the game, no idea when they'll decide to play it.
  24. I think we could take over 6 000 if it's a reasonable kick off time and not Monday evening. Surprised on the price, I'm sure Arsenal only charge away fans 32 quid in the league so really surprised to see them charging Leeds fan 35 quid for a cup game.
