  1. Was stuck with Bowen for ages as I had other issues to deal with so that was a nice return. Early move for the first time this season to get Solanke in for Alvarez before the price movements, hopefully that doesn't backfire with FA Cups still to go. Saka has Sheff Utd at the weekend but I assume it will still be a lock for Haaland captain.
  2. How can he get better when he's told to pass the ball backwards and retain possession? He's not done anything different at City from what I've seen, maybe they have been blinded a bit by Doku who while looks exciting he's not efficient at what he does, I've noticed Haaland gets less chances when its Doku playing over Grealish.
  3. Why has taken a flight to Germany to watch Harry Kane play for Bayern? What a waste of time and resources that is.
  4. Everton getting relegated would be fantastic.
  5. They are better off getting relegated and rebuilding, they will have more of a chance next season to do that. Bit of a strange rotation in promotion/relegation now where we have a very weak bottom of the Prem and a very strong top of the Championship.
  6. Think the offsides are fine, just the time they take need fixing. Red card decisions seem okay but could be slightly improved. The penalty calls are an absolute mess and need fixing ASAP. Just come to a collective decision as to what should and should not be a penalty, thats the ref on the pitch and the VAR. How you can have a system where if a ref doesn't give a foul the VAR team can go "Yep, no foul" and for the exact same incident if they gave a foul they'd go "Yep, foul". Hows anyone suppose to know what is and isn't a foul? Just make it consistent overall.
  7. Just watched the highlights from the games today on Sky Sports YouTube. Arsenal get given what is a very soft pen, closer to a play for contact/dive for me. While us, Brentford & Forest get denied blatant pens. Sounds about right.
  8. Confirmed out for the season.
  9. If you read the notes from the very first meeting the supporters clubs had with him you could tell he was a clown.
  10. This is the key thing, it's all good and well trying to get cover in but are we going to get anyone who can even do a better job in that spot than McGinn or Tielemans? Dendoncker was cover and it's clear he was behind them two. Most players looking for a loan are after first team football and not moving to play backup. When we lose key players we aren't going to be able to cover it, few clubs can. I think our big issue is that we only have one way of playing and when Pau/Konsa/Luiz/Kamara aren't there it has a big impact. You can swap Diaby/Bailey/Ramsey/McGinn around a fair bit but that core falls apart when a couple of them are missing. I think we could copy City's inverted LB formation, Konsa, Carlos, Lenglet with Pau as an inverted LB helping Luiz in possession. Allows McGinn and Tielemans to push up infront of them with Ramsey and Bailey out wide. Of course we can't learn that halfway through a season but I do think we need to be able to have more flexibility in how we set up at times.
  11. Sounds like spin to me to from Hull's side to keep their fans happy and to make it sound like they aren't just developing a player for us with a low buy back clause.
  12. Think we will need more than that, if Newcastle can string some results together then come the end of April they will be very close to us. I am more concerned about them than Utd, Utd can't keep getting these lucky wins it's baffling how they are even close to us. If Konsa and Kamara are out for the season then it's a lot of work for the lads left, we will get more knocks with the games we have. We are an injury away from having a CM duo of McGinn and Tielemans.
  13. If Kamara and Konsa are out for the season we won't get top 6. Way too many games left plus with Europe on top, we have no direct replacement for them.
  14. We've won 1 Prem game without him, can we get him on the pitch.
  15. He was ok but still a weak link in this system. Lost a lot of battles, picked up a yellow and then all he could do was back off. Lucky they took Rashford off and they didn't really make the most of their chances from down his side but on another day they could have a few from them attacks.
  16. It's going to be even harder to build if we don't get it this season. Chelsea and Utd won't be poor forever, Newcastle will get stronger (if FFP allows it). Europa League won't keep the likes of Martinez & Dougie around either, we can keep them all and build if we get CL.
  17. Just miles off it, doesn't seem to know what he wants to do with the ball when he has it. He needs a defined role in the team because he's lost, system doesn't suit him.
  18. Keeping him on for 90 mins midweek when the game was dead has cost us massively today.
  19. Because we decided to run him into the ground for 90 mins mid week despite the game being done and dusted at HT.
