If Kalvin Phillips was in the other box and he's about the shoot and Gordon does that, that would be a penalty for West Ham. Can't understand how they think thats anything but a Gordon foul.
Wasn't a dive, he was hit in the face. He clearly wasn't concussed but I've never seen a ref allow a freekick to be taken like that when a player is on the floor.
He's not getting in ahead of Maguire and Stones who are the two more experienced heads. If he was clearly first choice back up then fair enough, but he's not better than Konsa, Gomez etc who all have youth on their side and can contribute to future tournaments. Just seems a massive waste of a spot to me.
What's the actual point of playing him. He's 32, barely got a look in for England and all this does is now block players like Konsa, Branthwaite, Gomez from gaining the match experience they need for future years.
He actually had a pretty consistent run when he first joined, after that first international break between middle of Feb to middle of March he started every game and his minutes were 77, 90, 90 85, 80, 76, 90, 90.
He was never injured under Gerrard.
Zero interest in that for me, can't see how that doesn't die off within a few weeks. There's other sites that do weekly games like this but with 5-10k prize pools. You've got FanDuel and Draftkings for more advanced weekly formats, they are paid contests though.
FPLs only market is that they are the most popular and easy to use season long format. Bit annoying they are actually wasting their time with this when they have done nothing to improve the main game for years, they can't even be bothered to change the chip strategy. I'm all for more chips and variety, bring back in all out attack (useful purely for when you have a defensive crisis or a benching dilemma) and change the Triple Captain so you actually pick 3 different captains in the same GW.
Wouldn't mind if we had double chip selections either, we get 2 WCs a season, make it 2 of every chip and they have to be used in each half of the season.
I don't know how he makes the squad, let alone a starting CB. One of the main reasons he even offers anything is because waistcoats set up is just to play for set plays and always get it straight into the box. Basically the international version of old Stoke.
