  1. You could see it back in the autumn. When we beat the likes of Luton with barely getting a sweat on. Slowly playing when we could have gone to town . This is what happens when u have 16 seasons in Europe consecutively. You learn about how to avoid loading the players too much. Look at Howe at Newcastle. He played the Chumps league like the Prem. All out running . And i am convinced thats what killed all their players and contributed to the injuries. All of this experience leads to us winning 7 and drawing 3 of the 12 games following Euro competition. He knows. He just knows..

    Ezri Konsa

The most unlikely scenario. Ez is quick. Pau is slow. He would get targetted and murdered at fullback. Great footballer but not in that position. In my opinion of course.
  3. Very different players but i get your enthusiasm. Not many have Morgans break the lines ability with both powerful running and really sharp and clever passing. For a big man he is easy on the eye though like Grealish. ( no memes please )
  4. He will play till he is at least 35 at the top level is my guess. He is just built for football. explosveness stamina and physical durability in equal measure.
  5. When do u ever get a player who always wins on the pre season beep test , and then has the explosiveness of a sprinter, plus never gets injured. A unicorn
  6. Yep. Thank god that charlatan John McGinn was dropped after Thursday night by Emery... And replaced yesterday by Super John McGinn....
  7. The main difference in my opinion is he is so bloody happy and relaxed these days. I always thought he was incredibly reserved and uptight. But these last few months have seen him change. Always celebrates, always joking. That " how have i not scored" to the camera after the game finished was of someone completely happy .
  8. He has such power but also such subtlety with it . How he beat their rightback for his goal is a case in point. Such incredible close control to cut back . Also loved the fact he scored off the keepers forehead but it was hit so hard and fast its barely noticeable.
  9. In total this season 14 goals and 12 assists . He effects nearly every game he plays in.
  10. An absolutely brilliant passer of the ball .
  11. Thats what happens when you have real quality on the touchline and on the pitch . Its small margins that make the difference. They have some good players do Bournemouth , but they just arent quite as good as ours. They are more inconsistent. And Bailey, the most consistent winger in European football at the moment ?
  12. Rogers has the running power and finishing of JJ , the silky close control of Luiz and the clever forward passing of Buendia and Tielemans. For 8 mill up front. Mental
  13. 2 people. Woodgate and Emery. Was watching the Bournemouth fan channel and they said when he was on loan wirh them he was with all due respect crap.
  14. Sometimes we forget that he is second to Messi only in terms of popularity in Argentina.. The guy will never have to buy a drink in Argentina when he retires back there. A true superstar.

    Unai Emery

But he hasnt had the best teams in the league to manage. I think thats the pay off . He has traditionally had top 6 teams rather than top 3 or 4 apart from PSG.. so the relative strength of his squad is worse . He has punched his weight exactly in Europe i would say
  16. Thats better. Cannot be arsed with extra time and pens. They need to save their legs for Spurs
  17. So many younger players struggle in this league. Even go backwards.
  18. Theyve already bought that kid from River Plate for 20 mill that is meant to be the dogs bollox
  19. No goals in 200 minutes for a Pep team . V rare
  20. He is just a 2 and a half year older version of Duran. He could be Drogba, he could be Jesse Lingard. ..personally i think he will be inconsistent throughout his Chelsea career. After watching him lose it wanting to take the penalty on Monday i don't think he is calm enough to be consistent. That said 10 goals and 4 assists in the prem so far.
  21. Emery had him at Villareal. Brought him up through the B Team. And never once looked interested even when Was it Bournemouth were going to have him and he failed the medical. Even despite selling Ings.
  22. They havent had a shot since the 46th minute !!
  23. Calculated with a typical crazy Argentinian emotional personality. .. he has worked with a psychologist on how to get the advantage in games. And Cuts said that when he joined he was very inward and that he worked with him to bring his personality out . If you can cry after a shootout then you can change that inward emotion into a more aggressive outwards emotion. Thats what he has done . The dancing is planned. That is different to all other keepers. The shushing is planned. He takes the crowds anger to focus on him and away from his teammates. Bit like Mourinho. Its genius but requires someone who has balls of steel to carry it off. The world cup final shootout was won because he controlled everything. Including the ref .
  24. Its like The Arsenal game in reverse. Even game but they are taking their chances.
