  1. Just checked his stats when he joined. Very similar trends. Just better in all the good areas and worse in all the poor areas. Shows that tracking back doesnt even register on this as he is light and day more effective going backwards.
  2. Grealish successor but with goalscoring ability. His confidence and cockiness, without any arrogance is showing more and more. Those small shinpads have totally changed his game. He used to do those turns in blind alleys and lose possessiion. Now he does it further back as well and does not lose it. He took all the pressure off Cash after seeing him struggling early in the game.
  3. God i want to see a documentary so bad. So much has happened. And for once all good. Nothing negaitve other than the 3 acls and JJs toe.
  4. I cannot speak about it because i just stare at the screen and dribble !!
  5. Interestingly he was signed by Rangers to replace Rory Wilson .
  6. Must be horrible to play against. And not just his physical size. You go tight on him and he can turn you instantly with skill and power into space. Drop off and he can scan the pitch instantly and play a clever ball. Nearly all our players have big pass completion now apart from him. Emery has given him the keys to be the creative fulcrum already. The last 2 league games McGinn and Tielemans havent been missed in a creative sense so they could concentrate on being in the engine room. And Rogers has been the one to link midfield and attack. Astonishing really. In terms of his responsibilty he is our equivalent of Cole Palmer in that he is doing that link. All bodes very well. If we can keep JJ and Buendia fit next season we will have multiple creative and goalscoring threats on the pitch and on the bench to back up our forwards. Imagine McGinn Ramsey Rogers and Buendia rotated. And you can add Kellyman to that if he isnt loaned out

    Unai Emery

There is a chance he would go, but i just cannot see a man of such integrity leaving us in the lurch when he is building something so special. He has been given everything by the owners. Seriously heavyweight owners who will always back him as much as they possibly can within the rules. He not only has his own backroom staff, he has his own sporting director and director of football. Thats unique in the football world. Truly unique. With this unique set up he has the best support and coaching group he has ever had. Which has led to the best win percentage apart from PSG in his history. Theres plenty of time for him to take on a behemoth of a club in the future. He is 52. Got 15 years left at the top of his game at least. Leaving now would be like calling off a wedding at the altar.
  8. Insania. But this is what happens when you have Emery as a manager . Put the right players making the right runs time after time and it becomes muscle memory in a way. He already has an idea where to play a ball due to repetition now. The pau equaliser against Wolves, the outside of his foot back pass for Luiz against Brighton i think. The cross shot on Sunday for Bailey and the beautiful pass for Diabys are just a few. He has turned an inconsistent blow hot and cold talented plsyer into one of the most rounded and deadly in Europe. Normally the assist kings are those who do off the cuff stuff like Maddison and Wirtz or those who cross the ball like TTA or Ashley Young when he was here the first time.. The greatest compliment i can give Ollie is that he is equalling or outperforming those mavericks clearly with coaching and advice. Still doing his main job but also taken on a new skillset.

The more mental he goes after a goal the more sure you can be of a win. He knows in advance after 1002 games what the likelihood of a game outcome will be. He has done his homework, he knows how to control a game. He just knows.
  10. You could see it back in the autumn. When we beat the likes of Luton with barely getting a sweat on. Slowly playing when we could have gone to town . This is what happens when u have 16 seasons in Europe consecutively. You learn about how to avoid loading the players too much. Look at Howe at Newcastle. He played the Chumps league like the Prem. All out running . And i am convinced thats what killed all their players and contributed to the injuries. All of this experience leads to us winning 7 and drawing 3 of the 12 games following Euro competition. He knows. He just knows..

    Ezri Konsa

The most unlikely scenario. Ez is quick. Pau is slow. He would get targetted and murdered at fullback. Great footballer but not in that position. In my opinion of course.
  12. Very different players but i get your enthusiasm. Not many have Morgans break the lines ability with both powerful running and really sharp and clever passing. For a big man he is easy on the eye though like Grealish. ( no memes please )
  13. He will play till he is at least 35 at the top level is my guess. He is just built for football. explosveness stamina and physical durability in equal measure.
  14. When do u ever get a player who always wins on the pre season beep test , and then has the explosiveness of a sprinter, plus never gets injured. A unicorn
  15. Yep. Thank god that charlatan John McGinn was dropped after Thursday night by Emery... And replaced yesterday by Super John McGinn....
  16. The main difference in my opinion is he is so bloody happy and relaxed these days. I always thought he was incredibly reserved and uptight. But these last few months have seen him change. Always celebrates, always joking. That " how have i not scored" to the camera after the game finished was of someone completely happy .
  17. He has such power but also such subtlety with it . How he beat their rightback for his goal is a case in point. Such incredible close control to cut back . Also loved the fact he scored off the keepers forehead but it was hit so hard and fast its barely noticeable.
  18. In total this season 14 goals and 12 assists . He effects nearly every game he plays in.
  19. An absolutely brilliant passer of the ball .
  20. Thats what happens when you have real quality on the touchline and on the pitch . Its small margins that make the difference. They have some good players do Bournemouth , but they just arent quite as good as ours. They are more inconsistent. And Bailey, the most consistent winger in European football at the moment ?
  21. Rogers has the running power and finishing of JJ , the silky close control of Luiz and the clever forward passing of Buendia and Tielemans. For 8 mill up front. Mental
  22. 2 people. Woodgate and Emery. Was watching the Bournemouth fan channel and they said when he was on loan wirh them he was with all due respect crap.
  23. Sometimes we forget that he is second to Messi only in terms of popularity in Argentina.. The guy will never have to buy a drink in Argentina when he retires back there. A true superstar.

    Unai Emery

But he hasnt had the best teams in the league to manage. I think thats the pay off . He has traditionally had top 6 teams rather than top 3 or 4 apart from PSG.. so the relative strength of his squad is worse . He has punched his weight exactly in Europe i would say
  25. Thats better. Cannot be arsed with extra time and pens. They need to save their legs for Spurs
