  1. If we see the player that came in when Terry was injured last season he’ll make us more secure than we have been. Also be nice for him to come and play for a manager that wants to play football similar to Howe at Bournemouth. I think it will work well.
  2. Very composed today and will see how good he is playing the next 2 games which will be 4 on the run.
  3. Nyland vey important save but Hourihane for his non stop running and goal to top it off. Those 3 points were so important and puts us in striking distance of the top 6.
  4. Top Quality GK. We're on our way further up the league.
  5. Bit of huff and puff today, ball didn’t quite stick and final ball was just off. Still like the style of play and the speed with which we’re moving the ball around. Stoke are a horrid team and break up play every which way possible. Leeds next and I fancy we’ll get a good result which could see us in the top 6.
  6. His performances since he’s come back into the team have been excellent. He’s taken his time to settle, but obviously loves what he’s been asked to do and enjoy doing it with goals to boot. Excellent and long may it continue.
  7. Watch their goal again. Kodja didn’t track his man back twice before the cross went in. He needs to go in front on Hutton and Nyland.
  8. Robbed by the ref and linesman. What the point of the 4th official watching a reply and not calling over to the officials. As for those calling it as Nyland fault. You’ve got an agenda. Never in a million years can he be at fault for that........
  9. Although a loss on Friday would be a big disappointment it's not the end of the world. As long as we're in the playoff places by the turn of the year that would be a fantastic return based on where we were when Dean took over. Still doesn’t stop me crossing my fingers hoping for the win mind.
  10. I’m addictive to this way of playing football and absolutely love the fact it’s by a team in claret and blue from the midlands. It sooooo go to be a Villa fan at the moment. Thank you Dean Smith.
  11. Fantastic to watch brilliant result. what I love most was under Bruce we’d have crumbled with the 3 games we’ve played in the last 6 days. Under Smith we’re just getting stronger and stronger. I love it.
  12. Blimey. Not sure what to make of that. Fantastic going forward but direct running at our defence and they melt away. 6-5 Villa second half.
  13. Hope we can maintain the intensity, to do it in 3 games in 6 days is asking a lot of the players but fingers crossed.
  14. Very entertaining. Defensively from corners and messing about when there’s no option to pass we brought their goals on ourselves, so much to improve on in that aspect. Going forward, brilliant. Adomah was immense and well miss him over the next few weeks. But my word, Alan Hutton. Take a bow son. That’s two goals this year where he waltzed in to the opposition penalty area and I absolutely love it.
  15. So hope we continue to play in the Smith way and get a result today to keep the momentum going into a tough period of matches.
  16. He’s starting to show the form of last season, but this time round has players that can also work with him. McGinn and Abraham. Loving it.
  17. I love the way he plays. Hope he stays and enjoys the success with us as we get promoted and start to challenge the elite.
  18. So glad he came. After a few weeks the difference in the way the team plays is unrecognisable. I’m loving it.
  19. Loved his drive and desire today and capped off with a fab free kick.
  20. That was an absolute pleasure to watch. Thanks Dean for making your players believe they are good enough and for getting them to play your way. Can’t wait for SHA.
  21. Backing Smith all the way and he get until Xmas next year without question from me by which time he’ll have implemented his ideas, signed players he wants and have us playing his way. If not that’s when i’ll start to question. Come on Deano #COYL
  22. It might well be that but that’s not due to Dean, thats due to mess he’s inherited from Bruce. Dean will try and implement his philosophy on the squad and you never know, but he can’t be deemed a failure until he’s had an opportunity to get his players in playing his way.
  23. Then I’m afraid you will never be happy. We all know the defence it a bit of a shambles, majority of the squad are away on international duty and to expect players to change, get fit and put into practise Smiths ideas in 5 days is completely unrealistic. In addition none of the players here, bar Hogan from a previous club, is a Smith signing. I will judge him once he’s been given an opportunity to build his squad, increase fitness levels and put his ideas across to his squad.
