  1. Sad, but that’s a very believable story in the cold light of day. Thanks for sharing this mate.
  2. I do find it frustrating to read when players are slagged off before they’ve even joined the club, just because they aren’t who we want to sign. Dean and the team have earned more than enough credit in my opinion for us to trust them with who they bring to the club, judge them by what they do in our shirt.
  3. I respect the fact he mentioned in his statement that he didn’t want to cause any disruption mid-season. For all his reputation with general football fans, he’s a class act IMO.
  4. Possibly off to Swansea, or just keeping himself free for when a job becomes available. He’s ready to dip his toe in the water now as a manager. Best of luck to him!
  5. I just don’t see Wesley getting the game time to find a level of consistency and quality that if we’re being honest he wasn’t showing before his terrible injury. I think our best option would be to move him on in exchange for another backup striker from around Europe, probably with a bit of money on top from ourselves.
  6. Perhaps he is more likely to be first choice with Fulham?
  7. I think we’ll know for certain either way in the next 10 days or so.
  8. Who said anything about being grateful or thanking anyone? You’re just making stuff up now. And yeah, I’ll do me thanks.
  9. I’m not trolling. I’m pointing out the fact that we like that we’re in the money again, and like to go and take players from other clubs we now consider beneath us, but don’t like it when the shoe is on the other foot.
  10. There’s a certain irony that we like flexing our new financial muscles, but don’t like it being done to us and call them names.
  11. I worry from what I read on here and on Twitter/Facebook that our owner’s wealth has really distorted expectations about how we can and should spend. On a level playing field, without FFP to worry about then of course we can go out and buy a £40m striker for the bench and other expensive squad players, but that is not the case.
  12. This £40m that you refer to as peanuts would be our record transfer.
  13. I just don’t think it’s realistic that Tammy is going to come here and have to fight his way into our first team. Ollie is vital to our attack, whether he’s scoring or not IMO, don’t get me wrong I would love the luxury of signing Tammy as an option but we’re not in a position to do so. There has to be a middle ground, as in someone who offers more goal threat than Davis or Wes, but is content to fight for his place, and doesn’t cost £30m
  14. I think that if we spend again this summer and keep all the players we want to keep, then a fair expectation for next season is top 10.
  15. Really pleased for him. Got ruined by Adama Traore last season, and looked a bit ropey in a few other games, but has really improved defensively this year, and is a solid choice for POTS. Without trying to sound biased, has there been a better defensive left back in the league this season? Not for me.
  16. I think he should be Dirty Dean from now on?
  17. I feel that if we are to have another season like this one next season, our kind and generous owners will possibly show a ruthless side that we have yet to see, but while we are comfortable in mid-table there is no chance of Dean not being manager going into the new season, even if we don’t pick up another win this season imo.
  18. Anyone coming on this thread tonight to try and justify their hate for him, bore off.
  19. The comparison was more to it being another loan disaster from Chelsea, but fair enough I guess. And to be accused of being OTT by someone like yourself is the most ironic thing I’ve read all day!
  20. Who would’ve thought after what felt like the longest wait for him to regain fitness after his injury in November that we would be left with Danny Drinkwater Mk II.......
