  1. I don't know how true it is, but I've read a few times that EFL clubs are 'invited' to the Premier League, and there's technically no "earned" promotion (more of an unwritten rule that 1,+2+PO winner go up). If the PL want to invite Leeds and WBA, then it's nothing to do with Fulham.
  2. I'm not involved in the game, so I've no idea who's available, or who'd be willing to come.
  3. If I need repairs doing in the house, I don't stick with a guy who's not getting the job done, I'll keep trying until I find the right one.
  4. With a coach that sets us up properly.
  5. Suso has proven previously at a high level that his recruitment is fine, Dean has yet to prove anything at a similar level as a coach. It's why I'm leaning more on the side that the recruitment has been enough to stay up, but the coaching has not been good enough.
  6. The football has been as bad as anything we've had post-MON. We are completely ineffective.
  7. 17th would absolutely not be a great season. It would be minimum acceptable.
  8. £20m on Smalling would be robbery in today's market, surely they wouldn't sell him for that?
  9. That's nothing to do with this. That's to do with a team being kicked out, if they've played 75% of games, their points will be awarded. Nothing to do with cancellation of a season, or 75% of all fixtures being played.
  10. Life isn't fair sometimes. It isn't fair that we got promoted, despite finishing 5th. West Brom and Leeds have achieved nothing this season. Liverpool have more of a realistic argument, but again, they've achieved nothing. The idea that things should be awarded before something is finished is just madness IMO. Shall we aware the title after 28 games next season too?
  11. I've been successful for a change on this years. Started unemployed, got the Zenit job before Xmas. Went out of Europe and the Cup, but won every league game and won the title. Went to Atalanta. Everton knocked me out of the Europa League, but I won Serie A, Coppa Italian and Super Cup. First time I've ever achieved a lot with a smaller club. They offered me basically no transfer budget so went to Inter, currently top by 5 points after about 15 games.
  12. I don't know about you, but I personally wouldn't be in the right headspace. Not because I'm worried about my teammates health, nor my own health. But thinking I could have it and spread it would make me feel uneasy. Shocking decision for any games to be played.
  13. It's a soft, mentally weak, club. Not surprised they've been rattled so much by a kid.
  14. I keep reading it'll peak in May/June. Even if it slows down in May and ends in June. Players will need to train, they can't be out of football for 2 months and be expected to play every 3 days. That means you're potentially looking at the season restarting again in the middle of June, and possibly not finishing until middle of August. Then they'll need pre-season break. There's just no way I can see them starting next season in October, not when they then potentially have the Euros to fit in the following summer.
  15. The last season to be stopped before it finished was 39/40 (WW2), although it's different as only 3 games were played - nobody was awarded the title, no promotion, no relegation. If a match is abandoned part way through, the game is replayed, regardless of the score. This is the only real precedent we have of any kind. Both result in essentially pretending that event did not exist, and it's started over from scratch.
  16. Which is why voiding the season is the only thing that makes sense. Liverpool have not won the title. Leeds/West Brom have not won promotion. Norwich/Villa/Watford/West Ham/Brighton/Bournemouth have not been relegated. So why should any of the above things change? Just replay this season again.
  17. It's almost like they didn't learn from Arsenal, that match day revenue is really not that important.
  18. Liverpool - Title Leicester - CL Man U - Potential CL Wolves - Potential CL Sheff U - Potential CL/Europe Anyone else have anything to gain by the season continuing? Just start over next season. City banned from CL, so 18/19 5th place Arsenal in the CL, and 8th place Everton move in to the EL.
  19. One of the reasons it will be void. Destroying the integrity of the competition just to rush something through just wouldn't work.
  20. Why is a 6 point gap considered "healthy" enough for teams at the top of the Championship (where teams around them are obviously picking up a lot of points), but not enough to send Norwich down, with the same gap, despite their clear inability to pick up points? Fulham promotion is surely more of a debate than Norwich relegation?
  21. Yeah, the idea that Fulham can't beat Leeds and make up 3 points elsewhere means nobody being promoted is the sensible thing. Because none of them have earned promotion.
  22. Nah, different teams, different players, etc. best just to not let them have it.
