I wouldn't sell him for anything less than 30m. He's only going to get better and if a mentally crippled Torres is worth 50m and Carroll is worth 35m then what is this guy really worth? I know that isn't the most sane guideline to use but I feel this lad can go on to be anything he wants to be.

Definitely a mental problem with the squad. They're just losers. It's 3 of years of being in decline and the whole mentality of the club is negative. The only momentum the club has is a downward momentum. The players do not know how to win matches from years of hardly ever winning matches. It's almost as if they believe they can't win. Part of me feels that the best thing for this squad would be to drop down a division and learn how to win games, get some upwards momentum and a fresh start so to speak. But then there's all the other issues with relegation which would make it a disaster.

Right, our defense is a complete shambles. We need to just go all out attack and try to win. There's no point trying to hold onto leads because we're just incapable. We just need to be Gung-ho in every game now and try everything to just score more than they do. We'll get battered in some games, but we will also pick up points in others. It's the only way I can see us getting out of this mess.

We have a team of losers who have no idea how to win a game. Its a mental thing with them now that they know they are going to throw it away. We're going down for sure now. Draws are no longer good enough and we can't win. We're ****.

Just looked at my first contribution to this thread to see how wrong I was... "I think if our squad stays as it is we're going to be right down there, but I think we'll be okay. Really need some investment in the squad! " Well, seems I was kinda right, apart from the I think we'll be okay part, still needs investment.

What makes you think those players will need to take a paycut? Really can't see any of them having relegation clauses in their contract.

Can only hope that the reason for it is that we're getting our wages to a certain level where we can start repaying the loans to Randy, so once that's all repaid, he sells the club. If we knew that was the end goal I think a lot of us would accept the cost cutting more than we are now. I hope that is the reason.

Not only do I think accept the fact that we are relegated, I genuinely believe that we will finish bottom. I don't think the manager or players have a clue how to get out of this mess. Our season pretty much depends how Bentekes form IMO. Whilst football is a team game, we depend on him so much. QPR will get out of it now Southampton will be fine Wigan will finish 18th Reading have fight and will finish 19th Villa 20th
