I keep seeing people saying we should go in for Diame. But why on earth would he come to Villa? Surely West Ham would match any wages we offer him?

There's a lot of problems with AVFC at the minute. A lot of it at director level and Randy needs to take blame for that. But Lambert is also fast becoming a massive problem for AVFC by his own merit. That cannot be put on Randy (other than for hiring him). He's making error after error and is just looking increasingly clueless.

We don't need another striker if we sell Bent. Jones would just be another player we'd struggle to shift when we want to sell him. He's a player who only turns up once every 5 games. No thanks. I'd rather just take 10m and no player than 10m and Jones. We could use those wages better elsewhere.

No thanks to Palacios.... been terrible ever since his brother got killed, just hasnt been the same player. We've already got one mentally unstable character in Ireland, we don't need another.

Yeah last night changed my opinion of him completely. Since the West Brom game at home i've been questioning his tactics, but yesterday was just a step too far, was a complete no brainer after 10 minutes that the formation was just going to get us slaughtered. It really doesn't take any kind of football genius to see that, I actually think he knows less about football tactics then your average fan. Some things are just too obvious for him to see it seems. I don't know whether his terrible tactic are down to complete stubbornness or lack of tactical knowledge but he's failing badly.

Problem is AVFC probably owes him about 200m(ish) because of his terrible management of the club. We're stuck with him for a long long time now. There's no way he will just give up on that kind of money and no one will want to buy a Championship club for that kind of money. Randy can **** off.

Well when we do drop into the Championship we're going to have another year of not being able to buy anyone 'cos we need to cut costs again. So the summer will be fun.

I thought he was pretty solid yesterday. Didn't do a lot but I don't think he ever will, he just keeps things simple and keeps the ball moving. Unfortunately we have two similar players doing the same job and it doesn't work really. (Bannan&Westwood), The formation in the first half did him and Bannan no favours at all. They both looked lost.

Yep, we should have had all our transfers lined up before Jan 1st. Someone on here had a dig at me 'cos I was gutted we didn't sign any players before the Southampton game. Well, look at us now. Tragic.

I really don't know how it makes you less of a fan to bet against your club. It means nothing really. If anything, you're betting on something you have knowledge of, isn't that the best way to bet?

In regards to his set-pieces. He's being told to deliver them that way as Westwood does it too. Is that Bannan's fault or Lamberts?

I thought Bannan was brilliant in the second half. The reason we were over run in the first half wasnt Bannans fault, was the fact that Newcastle has so much space down the wings cos of that really stupid formation we played, they were just strolling and Bannan & Westwood were just running round like headless chickens. Our midfield was completely over ran, isn't surprising when they have more players in their midfield. To blame today on Bannan is just stupid. Thought he played some really nice balls in the second half and was always trying to be positive.
