  1. Have you got a link, I'd be interested to see what he actually said. Here under the third question
  2. The Birmingham Mail had quotes the other day from Sherwood pretty much confirming that the signings were not his. It's a surprise really, I mean who would have thought that he does not have an extensive knowledge of Europe's young players? Tim said himself that he'd been following these players for a long time and that he had final say on the transfers. Not like he's the sort of person to lie or anything.
  3. Apologies if this has already been discussed but I've just read Sherwood's quotes regarding the summer transfers Seems to contradict everything he has previously said (what a shock) about how he'd been following all our signings for a long time and that he had the final say on all transfers.
  4. The depressing thing is that even if we did get 14 points in our next 10 games we'd be on 18 points from 18 games and looking at potentially getting 38 points if we mirrored our points tally in the second half on the season. Maybe if I thought it was realistic I might not be so depressed about it but I don't think there's any chance of him getting anywhere near total.
  5. Our current projected total amount of points is 19. That's after a relatively easy run of games. He is hopelessly out of his depth, get rid before it's too late.
  6. If he gets the same time Lambert got we will undoubtedly be a championship team by the time he goes IMO.
  7. The bookies go on how much money is placed on each team. It's pretty well known that betting against Liverpool is always worth a look at as a lot of money gets placed on them in Asia (and no doubt London too). Regardless the reason why no one will put money on Villa is because we've been so abysmal this season.
  8. To give some perspective at how bad the start to the season has been, if we carry on with this points per game ratio we are on for 22 points for the end of the season.
  9. I'm not sure if you watched the game, but he absolutely cost us points today with his tactics. Liverpool's defence was shocking, looked at sixes and sevens whenever we attacked but our tactics seemed to be to attack and test their defence as little as possible.
  10. lambert had two players that are better than aanything we currently have in our squad. Yes and he was very lucky he inherited a player of Benteke's quality. Not only did he keep us up almost single handedly he also generated an awful lot of money for Sherwood to invest in the squad. Sadly it does not seem that Sherwood trusts half of his signings and seems to have a knack of dropping the players who seem to be performing well. Tactically he is absolutely shocking. Liverpool were absolutely there for the taking today, their defence is diabolical and yet he seemed to looking for damage reduction. What happened to 'having a real good go at it'?
  11. Don't worry everyone, it's all part of Tim's masterplan. We lull them into a false sense of security, stretch the game out then strike after the break. Sherwood's the master of the long con.
  12. My cat just farted in my wife's face. It's the little things in life.
  13. Happens to every Villa manager, the curse of being a manager with Randy Lerner as your owner.
  14. What a masterplan by Tim. So clever, he even fooled all of us. Genius.
  15. First time Sherwood's substitutions have impacted the game positively. Grealish and Ayew completely changed the game. Now all we need to do is get the starting line up right.
  16. So Davis goes in aggressively, concedes a free kick then kicks then ball away, gets away with a talking to. Westwood gets booked for running away with the ball. Excellent, consistent refereeing.
  17. No doubt Sherwood will come out with his 'no-one's hurting more than me' crap again. There's plenty of fans, including myself who have been watching the same old rubbish for years now who are hurting a lot more, Tim. At least he used to show a bit of passion, now he just sits there like the ghost of Paul Lambert.
  18. Downing most definitely went back on his word. If you remember he said that he wanted to repay the faith we'd put in him when we bought him while he was injured and he said he wasn't going to move even if we were relegated. I think what's more infuriating about Delph is that he did it twice, once just after he said he would stay and that unlike Downing, he was a real fan favourite who felt like he loved the club.
  19. I see Tim Vickery isn't a fan of Romiro Funes Mori who signed for Everton. "I would love to be wrong about Ramiro Funes Mori. But the only really good thing I can say about him is that language is not going to be a problem. That's important for defenders, because defending is nothing if it's not collective. When Argentina's economy tanked in 2001, Mori's family relocated to Dallas, Texas. He grew up there and speaks very good English as a result. "He's left-sided, and he can play left-back as well. But I don't think he has the quality, the physicality or the pace to survive in the Premier League." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/33590187 Ouch.
  20. I see he's gobbing off on Twitter now. Good work Charles you waste of space.
