  1. That could be the plan. But then again it could be like last summer when we obviously had a forward lined up but it then didn't go through, which led to the situation why we bought Samatta in January.
  2. Colin Murray still thinks he is funny and the studio looks like a broom cupboard, and there is no HD option. I just hope we don't ever go back to that for a whole season!
  3. JT had no pace and did ok or has it got even quicker since then? Its not like we play with a particularly high line.
  4. Yeah on Quest. The efl must be geniuses to moving their highlights package from the BBC, to Five, and now Quest.
  5. What else do you propose? Paper, scissor, stone?
  6. Once said to have played with a Umbrella in the rain. Who knows if that happened but when the legend becomes fact, print the legend.
  7. Also is said loan player helps to make Villa look like a established mid table prem team then that in time will attract better players to move to us in about 12-18 months time, if we look like a side that would start to challenge for europa league places again. If you just keep buying players at the same level then that will not really improve you unless we have magic coaching.
  8. Would be against the current philosophy but with some much uncertainty in the world a cheeky loan for a high quality player could make all the difference for a season. I agree mostly in the principle in buying young players who will improve but you have to say that was one of the reasons why we nearly got relegated last year. We just need a little bit of extra quality now to push the team on now.
  9. Beat me to it! That's why the media don't get it. Jack bleeds claret and blue.
  10. It is weird that Smith has taken a complete dislike to him, even having Hause above him in the pecking order. I think he is a perfectably serviceable back up central defender. If we do sell him then we need more cover. I mean Mings does not have the best of injury records so we would back to Hause and Konsa which looks a bit light weight to me. I presume Konsa is seen as a central defender after we have now bought Cash, along with Freddie and Elmo. As it stands at the moment our squad is not the most balanced. We have 5 senior keepers on the books and 3 right backs but we are short of options on the left side and up front. Even more so if Samatta goes. You get the feeling that the signings in January went down like a sack of shite for Smith and that was the final nail in the coffin for Suso.
  11. Welcome Bernie, hope you do well for us. However I am slightly concerned that although we have spent bigger this window., we still haven't really brought in much PL experience. 4 signings, 80 odd million and a grand total of 25 premier league appearances between them. Yes I know there are plenty of good players outside the prem and having lost of prem games does not make you a automatically a good player but it was something that we lacked last year and we haven't really resolved that.
  12. Feels like it was more of a move by Levy than Mourinho in getting him back. Be interesting to see what happens. The media seem to be hyping it up as the second coming of Christ though.
  13. Social Media has helped produce Brexit, Trump, various other clearings in the woods, and Johnson so it a no for me clive.
  14. Reminds me of a Red Dwarf quote- we have less choice than a welsh fish and chip shop....
  15. Meh more filler than thriller if it happens.
  16. He would probably talk to his agent, visit about 5 different chippy's and then decide. But by then they could all be closed for the afternoon.
  17. Its funny because he is past it and has now gone to the Shots.
  18. 'If Morrissey says not to eat meat, then I’m going to eat meat; that’s how much I hate Morrissey' Robert Smith (QPR fan)
  19. Kenneth. Well at least it would still be better than that god awful Michael Jackson statue at Craven Cottage.
