  1. Until he cuts out these stupid bookings he will never be much use to us......all very well having a good game against a team we were never expecting anything from but to miss two matches against teams we MUST beat is stupidity at it's highest.
  2. Please don't include me in that number
  3. OK just to show my support for a club I don't own I will not ask for any of the money I have given it and I also waive my rights to interest payments on that money I have given it! Jeeezzz give the man a Knighthood
  4. Blandy, so the fact we failed to be able to bring in even a decent loan player in January knowing we were desperate to just survive was a sign of financial backing? Nice flags for Bradford game though, really useful they were in that match. He has wasted money but when it was REALLY needed bottled it and leaves us in great danger of going down - for that I am not appreciative! You've ignored virtually everything he wrote. This is why modern football sucks, and why the world economy is in such a mess. If in doubt throw some (borrowed) money at it - sod the long-term consequences, don't plan ahead or put things into a context. Most of Villa's current problems must ultimately rest at Lerner's door because he has been the man in charge and his judgement has been poor. But having inadvertently allowed others to gamble on our future existance to pamper their own egos, whilst squandering the millions and millions which he gave to them, he is at least making our financial survival his immediate priority, and for this we should be grateful. He can't be expected to continuously throw good money after bad in the hope that it might just work out ok. It may be hideous to watch and it should never have been allowed to happen, but I would rather have a team playing somewhere to support in 20 years time than no team at all Yes I did, Lerner is not as blameless as you would like to make out. He pulled the plug at the WRONG time.
  5. Not an argument, we didn't need them because the owner was going to spend, spend, spend to get us Champions League in 5 years - and what happened to that?
  6. Nope, but he's on less wages innit. This is the agenda now is get the wage bill down isn't it. And THAT is the MAIN aim of the owner - **** the performances, **** the league position **** everything as long as they are cheap!

  8. How about this gem from Genral C Crulak in Oct 2006 Proves what a load of bollocks they spouted to win us over - or maybe thats it, no communication from Lerner because he accepts we have lost
  9. Randy said when he joined the club that if he wanted to make money he wouldn't have bought a football club. I can't find the quotes now though. He knew therefore he was probably going to make a loss so the idea of running it as a business sounds a little contrary.
  10. Dropped at the first whiff of a bad performance??????? Please tell me of a good performance from him?
  11. A much better overall team then than now - Lerner!
  12. Well we've all got plenty of time to prepare ourselves for the inevitable - unlike for some in the past relegation won't come as a surpise more a blessed relief all the pain is over
  13. Simply by cutting more costs. .......and then selling. But how much cost cutting can he do? AVFC still owes Randy a massive amount of money in loans. No one will buy AVFC for £150-200m to pay off the loans while we're in the Premiership. There's no chance of that happening in the Championship. So I don't see how he's going to be making any money any time soon. It would take years for Randy to even break even, making a profit will just not happen for aaages, and that's if we stay in the Premier League. So this Summer we have a clearout of players who don't want to play in the Championship - Benteke, Weimann, Gabby, Bent, Ireland, Given, Vlaar for example - that will recoup him about £50m to pay of some of the loans. He is still left with the capital in the club itself, name, ground, land the business own, Bodymoor Heath etc etc.......he ain't gonna lose a penny thats for sure. He will ride off into the sunset to meet up with his Military Uncle and have a good laugh at us
  14. Yeah, I'm stupid - Wolves sold a crap CF to Sunderland for how much?
  15. It was mentioned on Radio WM the other day. Would never happen, since accepting would be accepting that our defensive coach is shit Well clearly our defensive coach is shit. How much more proof do people want. As for £10m for X and £8m for Y how about a lot less for a loan? Just think how much RL is going to pocket this Summer when we go down? Bent (£12m) Benteke (£17m) Weimann (£8m) Gabby (£8m) Vlaar (£6m) theres £51m back straight away to repay off the loans he has made to us. Does that suddenly not make us more attractive to purchasers for £50m?
  16. Then club after club will go into administration. Its totally unsustainable as it is. You're completely wrong! What is unsustainable is having below average players on high wages who don't play or offer anything to the team. Players like Ireland, Bent, Warnock, Hutton, Beye, Sidwell, Shorey, Dunne(less so), N'Zogbia (he's been guilty at times), Given, Makoun, Heskey the list goes on of players brought for bigs fees on big wages and offer nothing to the team. I would rather have 4 Sissoko's on the team giving their all at 70 per week than one Ireland sat in the stands at 60 per week thinking out whether unicorns really exist??? Our problems for the whole of Lerner dictatorship has been giving the monkeys gold coins instead of the peanuts they deserve. It what did Leeds in paying over the top wages for shite players and Lerner has fallen into the same trap because he is just a silly little spoilt rich kid playing at business. I rather Peter Risdale or the Venkys brouhgt us anyone but this idiot!! We cant afford 4 sissokos. Thats why its unsustainable for us and most other clubs. Yes we could if they performed and kept us in the Prem . It's unsustainable in the Championship. The extra revenue that Lerner is giving up would easily deal with it. Warnock is off the payrol and Dunne, Bent and Given will be in the Summer even if we stay up. The money us there but he chooses to play a dangerous game.
  17. Interview in the Sun this morning I'd the quote.......slagging off former players too for voicing opinions - tosser
  18. Drag him back if you want but until he learns English and passes the appropriate tests he can't play, unless he gets a European passport somehow
  19. Makoun wanted to play for Houllier and he did have some personal issues if I recall when he first came and then McFool took over and basically threw him out, then he lost interest and didn't pass his English test therefore couldn't get back into UK to play.......not quite as simple really.
  20. Gerard Houllier French under-21 international Yacouba Sylla will become Villa’s first signing of the transfer window today – with another arrival expected before tonight’s deadline. Sylla, a 22-year-old defensive midfielder, has been given a promising endorsement by former Villa boss Gerard Houllier following his £1.75 million move from Clermont Foot. Houllier claims the powerful six-footer, who was linked with Queens Park Rangers and Fulham earlier in the transfer window, is highly thought of in their natvie France. Sylla arrives from Clermont, who are 14th in Ligue 2, and his capture continues boss Paul Lambert’s policy of recruiting young players hungry to prove themselves in the Premier League. “He’s a good defensive midfielder, sometimes he can play a little bit further up,” Houllier told the Birmingham Mail. “He is very strong and powerful and he is one of the best players in their team. “The French Ligue 2 is a similar standard to the Championship. I have spoken to one or two people at Clermont and they say that he can play at a higher level, certainly at Ligue 1 in France. “He can either play in front of the defence as a sitter or he can play in a defensive midfield triangle. “Clermont have a good reputation for supplying players for Ligue One in France and he would have made that step up next season. “In England , in the Premier League at Aston Villa it will be a massive challenge for him, but he is thought of in France as a very promising player.” Can be found here http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/gerard-houllier-gives-the-birmingham-mail-1280190#.UQoYkeWNW4E.twitter

  22. He might be French Div 2 but has played 60+ times in last 3 seasons and is a French U21
  23. Signing Jones makes no sense, just like playing a 4th Division team with 4 centre forwards and no supply, like playing 5 at the back against Toon when they play with one up front, like not signing anyone when we stand to lose £60m+ on prize moey for relegation...... makes no sense so laid on certainty we will do it and not sign a DMF
  24. Remember Lambert 'built' his Norwich side in Div 1 so another relegation to follow before he starts sorting it then
