  1. Off topic, but here's our starting line-up for next season, as it stands: Lloris (26) Walker (23) Kaboul (27) Vertonghen (26) Rose (23) Paulinho (24) Sandro (24) Dembele (25) Lennon (26) Adebayor (29) Bale (23) Subs: Holtby (22) Townsend (21) Carroll (21) Naughton (24) Sigurdsson (23) Friedel (42) Defoe (31) Dempsey (30) Parker (32) Huddlestone (26) BAE (29) Of the above the one's we're looking to shift are the ageing players (obviously), our oldest first 11 player is under 30, the average age of the first 11 is 25. Basically it's a squad full of players in their prime. In fairness not a bad team, maybe you should offer it to PL in exchange for CB Big problem Mr.Spud is Adebayor is gone and you have no strikers.......... who is more desperate for Benteke? I think we hold all the cards on this one jog on!
  2. Slight amendment to make it correct
  3. Well here the agent and Tekkers are backing themselves into a large corner. The bid doesn't materialise that we accept then we withdraw the increased contract he was offered and force hime to sit it out for a while. He costs no more than Barry Bannan in wages and PL was prepared to bench Given and Bent on a lot more than him. And now I think fans will accept him being benched too. Kismets **** up on this one I think and CB is going to look very stupid - he furture reputation is going to be tarnished with trying on 2 messy moves in a year
  4. Hope he will be forced by the club to reimburse fans who bought the new shirt with his stupid name and number on it!
  5. Hopefully someone who isn't a childish money grabbing dis-loyal sulking double crossing rocket polisher!
  6. If a player signs a normal contract for X years at £Y then that contract is binding on BOTH sides. If the club wish to in effect cancel that contract by selling him on and the player hasn't asked for a move he is entitled to payment for the full term in full unless there is a clause written into the original contract. Simple terms of contract law - in your view a contract is worth nothing then if the club can sell on and not compensate for the agreed term/wages? That is why Darren Bent said 3/4 weeks ago that he would need to leave to get regular football but he would not demand a move - if he asks for the move the 'loyalty' issue kicks in and he loses entitlement to a full pay off. Why do you think it took so long for Dicky Dunn and Ireland to sign for us from MCFC? Becuase they wanted a full pay off not just a % of what they were offered.. But of course I'm wrong
  7. So......I'm wrong the Daily Mail is wrong - any evidence you are right
  8. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2257748/Can-blame-Joe-Cole-taking-3m-pay-off.html says you are
  9. P3te - thanks, but I believe you are wrong.
  10. Thats just the starting point. How about the costs of paying off these players? None have asked for or will ask for a transfer so we have to as a starting point pay off the remainder of their contracts. Some like Given and Bent may well come to a deal on this however no a chance Ireland will so he will cost £3.5m just to get rid if he has 12 months left on his contract. In effect approx £5-8m just to off load this lot I would guess.
  11. So now he has let the cat out of the bag will PL leave him alone?
  12. Or the first evidence he is listening to his agent to keep his gob shut?
  13. From the article on the previous page by Guzan : He may go to BMH and the 'stadium' however not on match days when you would think an owner would show some interest.
  14. TRO I think we did think MON was better than he was but at the time we also thought money was no object (and probably so did MON) - clearly it was and that is where Lerner fecked up big style. I am one who actually prefers to do it the Lambert way and will support him in that but I fear if he is a success at 'this way' then he won't be around long enough for him to take us any further - he is clearly a very driven and ambitious manager
  15. Sad times having to discuss Beckford.....let's move on shall we
  16. I hear he has split from his missus and therefore might need the money like Randy did for an expensive divorce
  17. The Fonz and Moores x 2 are other examples of this. Talented footballers but not got the drive and determination to make it at the highest level. Gabby and Andi are not as talented however they show that something extra that makes a footballer.
  18. This talk is to get an improvement on what Villa have discussed with him - transparent really
  19. Does the fact he is going show Cresswell is coming from Ipswich?
  20. He might have been over but it's strange he can't be arsed to actually come and watch his team play - he used t odo that regularly and be seen around the place on match days
  21. But we improved dramatically over the season...... went from beting Sunderland 0-1 to 6-1
  22. Habib Beye - never played £50k a week and left on a free
  23. The aim is to make us profitable, not for our good but for the benefit of the Lerner Trust - that is why we will be looking to 'bring em in and sell them on' All that ballcocks about wanting to be CL in 5 years is long gone, reality has taken over and now we are a part of his family acquisitions fund
