  1. Haven't even seen this on Villareport. Some Romanian agent claiming he's sending someone to Villa. Google translate effort...
  2. 352 definitely would be a good way to go once we've got some strikers in.
  3. I've got a bit of hope because we've seen he can play better in the Premier League. Early on he simply wasn't this bad on the ball. Form has gone. Needs his confidence rebuilding out the side. Absolutely does not look a £11m player.
  4. They might go for it on some sort of payment per goal return.
  5. TAYLOR OUT STEFAN IN We'd all have laughed at @AVFC-Prideofbrum if he said he was better than 41-time international Trezeguet but here we are. I watch a lot of League 1/2, minor leagues, amateur leagues. I regularly see players better than Neil Taylor who earn a twentieth what he does. It's criminal he's as bad as he is with the training facilities and coaching provided. I can only assume he's OK in the week and just shits himself during matches, that has to be how he's survived as a professional footballer. As well as not playing three at the back until 2020 and consistently playing Wesley through some truly horrendous form, having Neil Taylor in any matchday squads is poor form from the manager.
  6. If a striker doesn't happen today, he won't be playing Sunday.
  7. I don't think he was found as a "commercial signing" per se. I think he was found first as a raw player and they noticed his upside was monstrous if he hit. They gambled. Still could come off at some point.
  8. There's big positives to take from tonight. We've just gone away to the second/third best team in the country with no striker, Neil Taylor and both CMs playing poorly. Make no mistake they really wanted that as well, they couldn't have named a stronger team. We gave them their goal otherwise that was a 1-0 grub win. I thought Heaton being out was enough to relegate us to be honest, but there's a smidge of hope it Nyland can play like that every game.
  9. He's looks like the one that's been selected who will fill in if we need then. Barry could be an option if he signs perhaps.
  10. I have him ahead of Chester in the pecking order personally. He was really good early on.
  11. That's funny, totally forgot that match happened. Thought it might have been an "illness" tonight.
  12. I think this was a commercial signing. Or Suso has issues judging player technique.
  13. Whoops. Just a little treat for you. Updated it now.
  14. There's nothing wrong with that Konsa pass. At all. He makes it because Doug moves for it! He moves to receive it back and 95/100 that's what Doug does. The fact he moves is why there's such a massive hole for them to bomb through. Doug is young and very talented. While McGinn is out, he's our best midfielder if we're going to play Grealish up top. Drinkwater could push him out the side I suppose, dunno how fit he is. I doubt Drinkwater loses the ball in such dangerous spots, the question is if he's brave enough to go and get on it when it's difficult. Marvellous doesn't, Hourihane doesn't, Lansbury doesn't. It's only John, Jack and Doug. I love Doug's bravery, he's been a victim of it here. Comes to get the ball so we aren't wildly launching it again. I bet he's outstanding every day in training when they're doing all the technical bits. He has these little blips where he forgets there are other players trying to get the ball because he finds most things so easy. He's just got to smarten up. It will come, definitely. I just hope it comes while he's at villa. Really don't want one of these lapses to cost us a big league match at the end of the season.
  15. I'd love some clarification if he got injured at Burnley, few people had said he got a knock right away. Right up there with the laziest performances I've ever seen if not.
  16. I wouldn't mind Vydra if we sign a "starter" as well.
  17. Said it before and I'll say it again, Jay Rodriguez would be a great signing for us. Yes, he's been a right bastard to play against, but he's got some nous which all our forwards lack. Burnley would be absolutely mental to sell him to us. We've just gone there and outplayed them for 45 mins before sitting back and absorbing pressure for another 45. They're in this relegation scrap big time. That's why it won't happen. Welcomed with open arms by me, but we'd need someone pacy as well I think.
  18. It'd the first time he was wrong on us.
  19. There was some very specific figures from respected journalists about. Fighting excitement to say I don't think it's the worst thing if he does turn us down. Reservations about him fitting into the team.
  20. Hmm, not sure they're that similar IMO.
  21. On screen diversity is the reason he's getting a sudden push. The new pundits can't all be white blokes, there's enough of them around already. He's got the great advantage of being a Man City kid as well, they're on TV loads so plenty of chances for him. At least he does bring some life to proceedings as well, he's got a personality. Not a fan of some of the women being put on TV myself. The ex-keeper who did our Burnley comms was terrible, and she's always terrible! Her and the ex-arsenal player Kelly Smith are on BT Score often and are both rubbish. There must be some more Alex Scotts knocking about.
  22. Sincerely hope they bring up all that as well.
