No worries. For what it’s worth, Benteke nearly got there by scoring 19 league goals in his first full season with us but as highlighted, it’s been a good while in the top division.

Seeing all the out of contract players available this summer across Europe, I wonder if we we might pick up another “free” transfer? The Kamara deal last summer was such a smart pick up.

I tend to agree but think Emery will start with Young for 60 minutes, then use Chambers for the final half hour to shut up shop. Just no further injuries would be useful today.

Agree totally. We currently have momentum and confidence, which are two great ingredients for a good final run in. However, anything above 11th now is still a wonderful achievement considering where we were October time. Can’t help but be excited though with where we are now and where this might end?

If Forest do drop, how badly will the crazy spend last summer affect them? Obviously the parachute payments help I guess but would it mean a complete squad fire sale? Do their fans need to be worried for instance?

No, it’s not about players turning us down if we fail to qualify, it’s about who you attract when you have qualified. It also shows ambition and a higher league position to said player. Money talks of course but finishing 11th or 7th makes a difference in the transfer market I believe.

I honestly disagree and believe it does help to attract a better player.

I think if a European place is possible you most definitely take it. It helps us financially, it helps with player recruitment and it surely helps the brand/commercial aspect. Yes we’ll be playing Thursday and Sunday, and it’s pretty gruelling on the squad but you can bet everyone associated with the club wants it. Its never too early to be part of it.

Going about his business with little or no fuss at all. Can you imagine the previous incumbent if he had us in 7th place right now? Totally nauseating with fans and the media. Emery is just perfect and I’m not sure if we’re currently running on fumes right now, but the players are giving absolutely everything and clearly loving this journey. Whatever position we finish in, it’s setting us up nicely for next season and I’m so grateful we’re not in that mess below us. Looking forward to games again, looking at the table/fixtures and having all the nerves that goes with being in the mix towards the top end.
