Whatever happens today I'll still be delighted with the work we've done this window. Probably could've done with another striker and I really wanted Benrahma but we've still given ourselves a very good chance of having a promising season.

So only the Express article we've had from 2 journos I've never heard of in regards to Benrahma tonight. If it was really on I'd have thought we'd have heard something else along with it.

Great battle between Max and Lewis. Disappointed for Max because he couldn't do much else but once Mercedes pit and Lewis was out on them mediums he was absolutely flying, not a chance Max was gonna keep him behind and in the end it was all very easy. Also have to say, I'm not the only one who thinks Bottas is a completely average driver right?

I wouldn't have him starting DM long term but that spot is his now for next week. What he lacks defensively you have to say he makes up for it with his set pieces. First goal was brilliant.

Trying to not get too ahead of myself but this pre season has been absolutely fantastic. We've looked fit, sharp and for once have a very clear way of playing. So impressed with today. I did think we might get outclassed as you know, Leipzig are a very good side and Nagelsmann is a very good manager but it wasn't the case at all. Extremely positive signs for this upcoming season and as long as we stick to our style there's absolutely no reason we won't stay up and do well.

Definitely didn't doubt him but was really intrigued to see how he would deal with good strikers in Werner and Poulson today... Yeah he come through with flying colours and he's going to step up superbly in the Prem this season.

I've been so impressed with him over pre season. Strong defensively and excellent on the ball as well, him and Mings look good together.
