The front 3 are good and full of pace which will definitely cause problems and the defence isn't too bad but the midfield however is absolutely one of the worst in the league. Fred and Andreas with Mata ahead is not good.

That midfield is tragic, if McGinn can get back on top form today that would be very ideal. Honestly if this was any other club I'd very much back us to win.

The one big concern I have right now is teams around us seem capable of taking points from the sides you don't expect while we really don't. I don't see us changing that today either

Last night couldn't have been anymore classic Steve Bruce. Coming off the back of a couple good results and getting the fans optimistic his team strolls up with what looked like no desire to win and play absolutely horrific football. How many times did we see that? I'm bloody delighted we won that last night and just how easy it all was. Can't stand the bloke.

I thought he was the only one to have a bit of a poor game really. No idea what's happened to him lately.

I really like him, I don't see him as this advanced player than some others do. Get him in that deep role and let him run the game. Still prone to being a little too relaxed but I think he's extremely talented. Has a cracking shot as we all know as well.

My last post mentioned that I thought he's fine but Engels should come straight back in when fit. Think I've changed my mind on that, very impressive. Engels is in for a tough one.

Very easy tonight, there's no way Newcastle won't be in trouble this season with the strikers/attackers they have. Joelinton, Carroll and Gayle were hilariously bad, Almiron was useless and Saint-Maximin doesn't have any control over his legs. Him spinning off the pitch was a particular highlight.

Crossing was poor imo but other than that very good. Dealt with that spinning fool Saint-Maximin quite easily.

I was a bit surprised at the decision to drop Nakamba and Trezeguet but it worked a treat. For me Luiz is much better in the deeper role and he had a good game. El Ghazi as well getting another goal and worked hard so great decisions from Smith. Fully in control pretty much all game and 3 points certainly needed. No complaints from me and very pleased so well done Smith.

I thought he was great tonight personally. Gutted he didn't score. If us Villa fans give Wesley stick I dread to think how much that sack of shit up front for Newcastle gets. Jesus Christ he actually is horrendous.

We have to win. 3 points tomorrow night would be vital considering how run of games and I'll be completely honest, I really really don't want Steve Bruce beating us. Deano smacked him about every time in the Championship, let's keep that going.

I'm reviving this from the depths of page 4 because that was a bloody great Brazilian GP. So chuffed for Max, smashed it all race but have to feel for Albon because he really deserved that podium. What an incredible moment for Gasly as well, no idea what happened to him in that Red Bull seat but he's found his form once again in the Toro Rosso. How good has Sainz been this season by the way? I think he's such a great driver. Last on the grid to P4 today which could even go P3 if Lewis gets a penalty. Him and McLaren deserve a podium.
