  1. I’ve got a bunch of old tickets up in the loft somewhere. I know I’ve got a Foo Fighters ticket for £7 at Leeds Cockpit for Dave Grohls first tour, post-Nirvana definitely a good handful of tickets from Eddies too!
  2. How much?!?!? jeez - I was expecting £80-£100 so have registered but doubt I’ll get any for that much. Shame as I’m in London for Ty Segall the night before in Camden.
  3. Did not see that one coming! he was great back in the day to be fair
  4. What hope is there for Kraven The Hunter? admittedly the trailer looks ok so I kind of hold a little hope it’s not going to be as bad as Snorbius, Venom Carnage etc etc
  5. 4 major injuries in one season it’s awful for Boubs and for the team as we have no one as good as him in that position.
  6. England won’t beat Scotland (our narrow blitz defence will get easily bypassed by Fin Russell), Ireland (let’s face it - we’ll get schooled for 80 minutes) or France (who despite stuttering so far, are still a better team than us) England are far from being a cohesive unit with an identifiable gameplan. Our set plays are predictable and rarely pay dividends, with players panicking after 2 or 3 phases of play and opting to kick into space instead of resetting and going again. Borthwick is channelling his inner Stevie G and relying on individuals producing a little bit of magic! There are glimpses of positivity but that’s on the individual players and rarely on passages of play. Borthwick is not the answer to making England a dominant force in world rugby - the third place at the World Cup is a complete misdirection in how we play rugby but has gifted him more time in the hot seat than his brand deserves.
  7. I think it’s pretty much a given that Ireland will (convincingly) beat England at Twickenham. England are a disjointed mess at the moment within a transitional phase that isn’t being implemented swiftly (or effectively) England have some great individuals and can play dynamic rugby but not consistently throughout 80 minutes and their new blitz style defence can be easily bypassed with quick hands and wide ball. Ireland have nothing to fear and should scoop up another grandslam!
  8. It’s an absolute cracker and gets better with each play!
  9. Not the greatest advert for rugby. Two poor teams for sure. Neither will win another game this tournament (as I can see Italy turning over this current Welsh team)
  10. England still very ragged in attack. Always a fumbled pass at the vital moment gifting the ball back to the opposition. A very nervy five minutes to hang on
  11. But the referee did see the ball being held up (which was confirmed on the replays as initially on the French leg) but requested TMO to confirm if it was grounded. To say he arrogantly made the call is slightly absurd. Sadly for the Scots, the footage wasn’t as conclusive on the grounding with many limbs obscuring the view. They could’ve guessed it probably was grounded but couldn’t say for definite, therefore couldn’t award the try. It’s tough on Scotland but that’s the way it is.
  12. Wow what an end to an otherwise poor game. Scotland can feel hard done by at the death but should’ve put the game to bed in the first half.
  13. Somehow, Scotland have contrived to allow France to take the lead. second half has been a poor spectacle so hopefully France taking the lead will spark the match back to life
  14. Currently just a point off the bottom three
  15. But can see both teams beating England
  16. Scotland look by far the better team but somehow, France remain in touching distance.
  17. Grealish might be happy picking up his massive wages for another 3yrs and decide to stay put. Hasn’t he also just signed another lucrative sponsorship deal too? Those deals would dry up if he weren’t at City.
  18. To ‘celebrate’ my 50th a few weeks later, I’ve treated myself to a ticket to The End Of The Road festival. headlined by Idles, Slowdive and Fever Ray and also featuring Baxter Dury, Ty Segall, Sprints, Yo La Tengo and Bill Ryder Jones (amongst many others) Should be a cracking festival!
  19. Have two cinema trips lined up next week. Argyle with my son The Iron Claw with the wife looking forward to both.
  20. Yep, that is a great album (tin hat at the ready) in fact, they were all great up until Hot Space (but still have a soft spot for their later stuff too)
  21. Looking forward to this weeks releases from Royel Otis and Chelsea Wolfe Also pleased to hear album release dates confirmed for Big Special and Feet in the next few months!
  22. Which one is it?!? Image not showing (I’ll take a punt of Queen II?)
