    Gym Routine

Well i've just joined a new gym... Lichfield Virgin Active (the old Esporta). Its very nice.. well, should be at the price! Main aim is to shed as much weight as possible (too many pizzas, currys and beers in the last couple of years). Been going two weeks and lost 6.2lbs. Mainly cardio combined with eating much healthier. Quite pleased so far. My aim is to lose 35lbs my November 17th (date I fly to Asia for 3 week adventure)

Moyles was good when he started but the last 5-6 years he's been a massive tool. Chris Evans did the R1 Breakfast Show so much better in the mid 90's. Nowadays as I have hit my 30's, I prefer R2. I occasionally put R1 on and realise I am so out of touch I quickly put R2 back on and the familiar voices of Wright, Evans and Mayo.
  3. 3 Parents - Erdington Parents - Walmley Mine - Four Oaks Looking to move now... want somewhere bigger. Looking around Four Oaks, Streetly and Lichfield. Considering I have worked in Birmingham City Centre for 13 of the last 15 years including the last 10, I seem to moving further and further away from work!
  4. Having my first IMAX/Big Screen experience with this. Tickets booked
  5. Gabby is a quality striker who has suffered in the last couple of years by being injured a lot and last season playing in a team team that wasn't set up to attack. I look forward to seeing his this season, fully fit, and with Lambert in charge.
  6. i think its creeping in, before it was just something funny on holiday and you'd say we dont do that in england, but we do and its getting worse worst ive seen was an emirates flight to dubai, they called something like rows 1 - 14 and i think me and my girlfriend were the only ones who stayed sat down, they announced it several times that it was those rows only and people were still getting turned away, when we landed you get the usual remain seated to the light goes off thing, absolutely no chance, everyone was up bags out stood up waiting to get off whilst we were still moving problem is when flying trying to beat a que makes absolutely no sense, you rush to get on and you arent taking off till the last person is on board, you rush to get off just to go join another 2/3 ques and sods law your bag will be last anyway What REALLY PISSES ME OFF is when you get to board the plane and the people that got called before you have too much hand luggage so they use your alloted space ( above your head locker ) WTF ?! they are the ones who have too much luggage.Put it on your lap or throw it out the **** window. The last time that happened to me the people who had too much luggage and used my/our space were really old ( like 80 or something ) so I couldent say anything, could I ? Piss me off. On the luggage theme... 'Hand luggage' - to me, that is not a bloody case with wheels that you can barely cram in the overhead locker, or even pick up without help.
  7. Villa has run through the family... Grandad used to watch them (lived in Newtown and Kingstanding and worked for Bowmans in Aston). My Father had a trial for them in the 60's (alongside Willie Anderson who was the only one to make it at Villa from the trialists) and naturally supported them and its been passed on to me. I'd never consider supporting anyone else and If I do have children then they better support Villa!
  8. Chelsea aside, how often does it work though? Not many times. The Czechs and Greeks tried to and both deservedly lost
  9. Mainly due to the early 80's when both teams were considered a genuine force in the Scottish game and rivals to the 'Old Firm'
  10. I think everything is pissing me off at the minute. Probably because I feel run down. Not taken a full day off work this year and its starting to wear me down
  11. Film snobbery. Same applies to music and literature. Yes it does, but as I said somewhere else (about wine, I think), so is the reverse, i.e. inverted snobbery - people who immediately assume that anyone who takes a slightly deeper interest in a subject and tries to describe it is "talking pretentious bollocks". Sure, there's nothing wrong in just liking something without having to justify it, but keep an open mind to learning as well. I don't mind people taking an interest in a subject but its when those people deride other people for liking certain things that they see as beneath them.

Add me to the crowd that dislike Moyles. Chris Evans FTW!

I love going to Sharm... been 3 times in 4 years and will go again this year. Guaranteed great weather. Always like to have a week there relaxing by the pool, reading and listening to some tunes.
  15. Haven't had Sky for over 4 years now. Don't miss it one bit
  16. I've been reasonably impressed with Hodgson so far... it helps that he is a likeable bloke! Still massive question marks over some of his selections in the squad, most notably Downing. The only rationale I can give for that he is a genuine left footer, something which we have lacked over the years. But by not playing him what was the point of picking him? Would much rather have Lennon or Johnson to be a impact sub. But, overall, its going ok. I liked the way he made immediate changes against Sweden when we went down.
  17. Had toffee apple cider last night - was fantastic! :-)
  18. I think he meant it... it just didn't look very graceful! You can tell by the movement of his legs what he was trying to do. While i'm not a fan of some of the England players, I will always support the team and country. I don't understand why you wouldn't?
  19. I think they were... weren't we losing in that game? It was a Wednesday night I think and we played QPR at Villa Park a few days later on the Saturday and beat them 4-2. Back in the days when we were good to watch!

    Jubilee

Not pro or anti Royal at all but never watched any of the celebrations. To be honest it was easily avoided, yet to listen to people here it would seem it has been forced down everyone's throats?
  21. Does it really matter? Everyone knows where the West Midlands is
  22. And you hear about 'the Midlands'
