  1. Much better cover/ competition for Kamara would be my number one wish for January
  2. I think what this little festive run has underlined is that when we have a fit, firing and fully available squad we are a match for anyone but when we have a few injuries/ suspensions, particularly to the spine of the team, we look much weaker. I particular we have missed Kamara and look much weaker defensively without him. If we want top four, and champions league football next season, we will need a bit of luck and a couple of shrewd signings in January
  3. Christ, I'm bored just reading that imagine having to sit through it. Being a blues supporter is both their crime and punishment
  4. If West Ham catch us it will be because we have dropped heavily off the pace needed to finish in the top five not because they'll be replacing us in there. They remind me of us under O'Neill, limited by the style of football no matter how good the results may be at times
  5. I think it was the manner of the loss that was upsetting. Two goals up at half time and you lose feels like turd no matter what
  6. 1-2 loss to complete a triumvirate of festive shit
  7. Ok, an exaggeration, but I do think Man Utd will sit back, let us have the ball and look to hit us on the break
  8. I think Man Utd will probably sit back almost as much as Sheffield Utd did
  9. Spurs are a good team this season and don't have any European football to worry about, they are certainly the biggest threat to us finishing in the top four. Even just being able to type that sentence pleases me though, we've come so far so quickly
  10. I don't really get his thinking. If we had won and had two extra points would he have thought we were a shoe in for the top 4? We might miss out on the top 4 but it will be because of results over the season as a whole not just a single one half way through the season It's almost like he's a completely reactionary idiot.
  11. Whilst I think you are correct in that Spurs are probably going to be the biggest threat to us finishing top 4 I would say that we are half way through the season and are above them which suggests we have nothing to fear from them. The style they play means they will always have more injuries than the average team. They might pip us to 4th but if they do it will be a close run thing
  12. Liverpool dropped points at Luton is that unforgivable for them? Are they out of the race? It happens and you move on to the next game. I think Emery hoped to play in an energy conserving style, similar to how we've played in Europe, get the three points and have more umphh left for boxing day. We were three shit VAR calls away from it happening
  13. Predictable as day following night that we would blow our chance to go top
  14. Nice Though you've been a bit literal for our new image direction. Change the font so that it possibly reads Austin Allegro Fanny Pack and make the Lion look like a roadkill weasel and you're onto a real winner
  15. If we win the league we'll all be having a stroke of one kind or another
  16. Certainly wouldn't be surprised to see him go out on loan or be sold but I'd say the whole thing is just someone guessing based on previous club actions rather than any solid knowledge
  17. You are correct, of course. I should have added that, long term, it doesn't make much logical sense. At some point that North Stand will need replacing and there will never be a 'perfect' time to do it To me not doing it suggests the owners either have their eye on something much grander or are kicking it down the line to the next set of owners. I think any redevelopment of the North Stand under NSWE is now dead
  18. Logically this doesn't make much sense Unless we're looking to move to a new stadium at some point
  19. Even though Luiz is at the heart of one of our best teams for decades? When you already have one of the best midfielders in the country I don't see the point of rolling the dice in the hope of finding his equal. Keep him and concentrate on growing the club in order that we can spend money rather than quick injections of cash or, at the very least, don't sell a player who is so fundamental to the way we play
  20. You're overthinking this. The reason Man Utd went out was because they are not CL standard and also not good enough to finish 5th or above it has nothing to do with extra games. Newcastle will be more of a worry but in the end we knew at the start of the season that 4th and above guarantees CL so that will be what we're aiming for. Don't sweat it.
  21. Yes, I feel sorry for which ever of Spurs, Newcastle or Man Utd finish in 5th place already
