  1. He always looked like a little boy lost when I saw him for Chelsea. He might fly when he comes back but I wouldn't be surprised to see him do little of note
  2. It's going to make the anniversary shirts they bring out every few years to celebrate winning the league look very odd
  3. Interesting as I was just thinking about this myself and came the conclusion that Man City and Liverpool will slowly break away from the group leaving ourselves, Arsenal and Spurs to fight it out. That left me wandering if the disappointment felt by Arsenal to see a title challenge disappear so early might affect them so much that they (relatively) fall apart. You obviously came to the same conclusions that I did.
  4. 3-0 Spurs Which is weird because I haven't been particularly impressed by them today
  5. That's the nature of the way we play. High risk defensive line, high reward attacking line. Unai could rejig it so that we are better defensively but probably at the risk of blunting our attack. At the moment, what we are doing is very clearly working so I wouldn't let it concern you too much. No doubt Emi would like more clean sheets but I'm sure he is even happier with winning games
  6. Yes! I'm dressed as a big baby and being spanked by a woman dressed as Maggie Thatcher! Anyone else?
  7. We will almost certainly take the chance to rest some players, we have some of the team running on fumes already. For me Emi, Konsa, McGinn, Luiz and Ollie all get the weekend off.
  8. Certainly. Just feel the drop off from Kamara to who ever plays instead is much greater than the drop off from Cash to Konsa. Certainly Cash is the easiest player to see as upgradeable though as I don't think he suits the system
  9. Much better cover/ competition for Kamara would be my number one wish for January
  10. I think what this little festive run has underlined is that when we have a fit, firing and fully available squad we are a match for anyone but when we have a few injuries/ suspensions, particularly to the spine of the team, we look much weaker. I particular we have missed Kamara and look much weaker defensively without him. If we want top four, and champions league football next season, we will need a bit of luck and a couple of shrewd signings in January
  11. Christ, I'm bored just reading that imagine having to sit through it. Being a blues supporter is both their crime and punishment
  12. If West Ham catch us it will be because we have dropped heavily off the pace needed to finish in the top five not because they'll be replacing us in there. They remind me of us under O'Neill, limited by the style of football no matter how good the results may be at times
  13. I think it was the manner of the loss that was upsetting. Two goals up at half time and you lose feels like turd no matter what
  14. 1-2 loss to complete a triumvirate of festive shit
  15. Ok, an exaggeration, but I do think Man Utd will sit back, let us have the ball and look to hit us on the break
  16. I think Man Utd will probably sit back almost as much as Sheffield Utd did
  17. Spurs are a good team this season and don't have any European football to worry about, they are certainly the biggest threat to us finishing in the top four. Even just being able to type that sentence pleases me though, we've come so far so quickly
  18. I don't really get his thinking. If we had won and had two extra points would he have thought we were a shoe in for the top 4? We might miss out on the top 4 but it will be because of results over the season as a whole not just a single one half way through the season It's almost like he's a completely reactionary idiot.
  19. Whilst I think you are correct in that Spurs are probably going to be the biggest threat to us finishing top 4 I would say that we are half way through the season and are above them which suggests we have nothing to fear from them. The style they play means they will always have more injuries than the average team. They might pip us to 4th but if they do it will be a close run thing
  20. Liverpool dropped points at Luton is that unforgivable for them? Are they out of the race? It happens and you move on to the next game. I think Emery hoped to play in an energy conserving style, similar to how we've played in Europe, get the three points and have more umphh left for boxing day. We were three shit VAR calls away from it happening
  21. Predictable as day following night that we would blow our chance to go top
  22. Nice Though you've been a bit literal for our new image direction. Change the font so that it possibly reads Austin Allegro Fanny Pack and make the Lion look like a roadkill weasel and you're onto a real winner
  23. If we win the league we'll all be having a stroke of one kind or another
