I think they're very serious about running us as a successful business. Hopefully that'll mean a successful football club on the pitch as well, but at the moment we are handicapping ourselves in that area with an under qualified manager.

I've come to the same conclusion, I think we'll continue to bob around the area of the table we are currently in and before you know it it'll be May and the season will be over. I've thought from the beginning that Gerrard does not have the ability to get us to where the upper management have previously stated they want us to be and pretty much all evidence points to that opinion being correct. However, I'm starting to believe that as long as we stay in the league without too much trouble then Gerrard is safe. I think the club are simply happy to be in the league

Did you watch the game? You must know that if we continue to play like that then 9 times out of 10 we won't win? We were terrible, happily Southampton were even worse.

I just had a chilling thought - Gerrard continues to be a bit shit but manages to hang on until the world cup break when he's given the boot. Southgate gets England a few tedious games into the finals before getting beaten by the first decent team England play and then steps down. Purslow thinks Southgate is a good manager and we end up with that silly chunt as our manager I'm hoping Gerrard either pulls his finger out and turns this round properly or is so bad he gets gone very soon!

I think it's because they don't expect football fans to behave correctly because we're all working class scum

Look at the other sports and see have they've honoured the Queen and the new king. Football instead has done nothing.

Whilst I certainly respect your views, would it not have been better for people to come together and show their collective respect? Cancelling the games has denied people that opportunity. Most of those who were going to attend the games will now have no opportunity to publicly show their feelings for the Queen and new King.
