  1. That's fair enough but I felt both Hall (aged 18) and Hutchinson (aged 19) had greater impact and looked better than Carney. Still, I'm sure he will carve himself out a very good career
  2. Really? I thought he was pretty anonymous other than the hit against the post. He was out shone by all the similar aged players that Chelsea brought on in the second half
  3. There are. But his position is still probably the first we could get a massive upgrade in
  4. His is the first position to upgrade
  5. We can count our selves very fortunate that we are only one down. Now let's reorganise and come back out with a bit more fire in our belly
  6. Cmon you've all been Villa fans long enough now to know that we always follow up a big win with a flaccid turd of a performance
  7. He's a worse finisher than Watkins
  8. Oh yeah, not saying I wouldn't take the point and, without doubt, we've defended well. But still, that was a snooze fest
  9. That's possibly one of the most tedious halves of football I've seen
  10. Sounds like we are going to have to score at least four if we want to win this one! Easy!

    The NSWE Board

Randy was a simpleton bank rolled by a family inheritance, he was not a business man and we were a play thing to him. Xia was a gambler who borrowed money, rolled the dice in the hope of a quick return. Wes and Nas are proper business men. They have not only supported short term funding but are overseeing long term investment, in the form of the stadium and the academy, and are clearly putting in place all the pieces to give us a chance at long term success. The "worst" that happens is that they treat us as a business and expect us to start standing on our own feet rather than constant massive investment. Wes may sell at some point but when he does he will leave us in a far stronger position than he found us.
  12. We don't care if he spells John wrong, He's our man, he's Jhon Duran
  13. Every time we have a mini break we come back shit
  14. Whilst I don't disagree that finding a new consistent striker would be very nice, I would add, for balance, that we have scored seven goals in the first three games under Emery. Friendlies are for fitness, I wouldn't read too much in to them.
  15. No, but it does make it incredibly hard to stop. As soon as you introduce competition into sport and games you are going to get people looking for an edge and some of that will obviously be a mental edge. You could probably put a stop to mind games in penalty shoot outs but the rest of the game? The ref would have to be every where all the time. Personally, I find it interesting to see how people cope with mind games/ pressure and feel that taking it away would sanitise the game. I enjoyed watching Emi last night.
  16. I think you maybe following the wrong game, this sort of thing has existed at every level in every game probably since football started but certainly since the 80s and onwards as I've heard and seen it even at the very low level I played at.
  17. I reckon they'll completely ignore it and hope everyone else does too. The WC was already controversial due to its location etc. The last thing they want to do is make a brilliant final about one of the winners shagging a shit, plastic looking golden hand.
  18. Those awards are tacky pieces of shit. The boot one almost fell apart whilst Mbappe was carrying it. They look like they cost about 50p.
  19. For 80 minutes France were utter shit but Argentina have a Villa like* ability to crumble quickly. *Hopefully this will change under UE
  20. Imagine a mouth full of glutinous fat, that's your average pig in blanket. Whether that's your thing or not is up to you
  21. Mushroom wellington As many roast pots as I can fit on the plate Peas Baby carrots Sprouts Parsnips Stuffing Onion gravy Red currant jelly Christmas can't come quick enough
  22. Yes, but who were the opposition in those 5 games/ how important were the games? The group stages of the champions league contains quite a number of sub par teams and dead rubber games. Without checking I would guess Jack has appeared in those games. Guardiola doesn't trust him. Jack got the amount of minutes on the pitch at WC that his current form deserves
