To be quite honest ive seen grealish offer nothing to suggest he is championship quality let alone prem quality. Yes he has some natural talent but he has no brain, no instinct and no common sense. Id sell him tomorrow (transfer window allowing) if we got a bid of 10m - i really dont think he has wjat it takes to survive at villa.

For me the forest game shows me Bruce is even more clueless than i feared he was before he arrived. I'm convinced Bruce is not the man who signed the players in jan as apart from hogan none of them suit the 'tactics' (and i use that term is the broadest possible way) he employs. He sets us up defensively and for counterattacking and we signed a bunch of ballplayers - mind boggling. With Bruce in charge i only see is getting worse tbh. His starting 11 and formation against firest was bonkers and i think the blind man down the road could see grealish should have been taken off about 20minutes before he was sent off. And the subs he made... i mean he makes bad subs regularly but to remove your only goal threat and your only performing centre mid is just criminal. The man has lost the plot and id rather we brought in someone else now than see him continue to f*** this up. Hes a dinosaur without any anger hunger or teeth and should be put down

i think we might live to regret this one. I see this guy being something similar to de gea at united. He needs time to grow and he will be a world class keeper one day.

i'm not sure what all the fuss about grealish is about. Based on how he's performed on the pitch for villa he's nothing more than average. I'd not think to hard about selling him if a decent offer was made - i dont think he offers us much at all.

The same mccormack who has been struggling for fitness all season? The same Elphick who was injured for the majority of last season? The same jedinak who struggled to get into palacesstarting 11? I don't understand your basis for this. He's got a decent record of getting things right and comes across honest and admits when things don't work out rather than making excuses.

Maybe he sees getting game time every week in a lower league as more important than sitting in the reserves at Villa, despite being a fan? It's not what I would do but I could see why he might want to consider it. We also don't know what conversations have taken place in private rather than what we have seen in public - there is nothing to say that what we are seeing printed is the same as what has been said to him behind closed doors. To answer your question, no I don't think that we have made a derisory offer, but just because I don't think it and you don't think it doesn't mean RHM doesn't think it, and doesn't mean it couldn't be the case. It's speculation given that the decision has taken longer than expected making it a reasonable possibility.

maybe the offer isn't very good? It's all well and good that he's a local lad and so on but it has to be the right move for his career too and of the contract isn't good and the manager doesn't have him in his plans then it might be time for him to move on. I'd rather he stayed of course, but he may not feel wanted.

I didnt see todays game so this may be a silly question for someone who did. I see a lot of praise for the cbs today and that jedinak, though poor overall, dominated aerially. So how did we lose 60%of the aerial challenges in this match in our defensive 3rd?

different manager, but nothing else has changed. Players still look half arsed and dont appear to know what they are supposed to be doing. Tactics completely one dimensional and there never appears to be a plan b How, with this squad, we are 22nd is beyond me... Cant continue to follow this team as i'm sure i could manage the team better

I still feel that the defence and midfield is frail. Take either Elphick or Cheser out and we'll see baker or richards in their place and that worries me. Tshibola is already injured, if we lose jedinak to suspension that means westwood and gardner in centre mid and that worries me A LOT. Up front we have lots of options, but 3 of them will be gone to AFCON leaving us with only McCormack (lets face it Kozak and Gabby arent getting a game). This worries me and if he isnt on form come January, we're in deep trouble! Don't get me wrong, we've done great business in 1 window. But outside of our first 11 we are still a pretty poor side playing in a very physical league with lots of games. There are going to be injuries and suspensions, and when that happens we will lose points. I still cant see us getting into the playoffs. Hoping we are still in touch come Jan so we can pick up some more players and push on.
