  1. Is there any chance to snap a ticket if I am not from UK?
  2. I am sure Tim will play Bacuna and Sinclair on the wings and Cleverley as AMC behind Benteke (as far as I remember well, Sir Alex claimed in his recent book that Cleverley´s most suitable role was AMC, but had better options that time). Gil was/is injured, starting on the bench if possible and Grealish, if not the best performer in midweek training sessions, will start on bench too. Guessing: Two holding midfielders would be Delph with options to be box-to-box and Westwood, as holding with deep playmaking role. I am looking forward to Tim´s starting 11 and tactics and how far from reality my words will be.
  3. It was not an easy chance, even Messi blazed similar chance over last night.
  4. Do not be so harsh on him, he still has a role at Villa.
  5. So you wouldn't go full nursery rhyme and use Jack & Gil Sorry BOF, I am continental, so I do not understand English kind of humour
  6. It seems that Ciaran had learned something. At least he keeps his studs on the ground in those crunchy tackles, so at most a yellow card in case of injury or Chelski player. Still out of decent position when marking opponents sometimes, but learning. Baksy too.
  7. Was he? He completely left his man for their goal. He was a million miles away from him. Great tackle and an ok performance but far from outstanding. I'd still like to see an Okore Vlaar partnership blossom To be fair, both him and Vlaar were both in poor positions for their goal as it seemed they were expecting Hutton to get rid of the ball, not pass it to a Leicester player. Yes he makes a mistake, but if Hutton doesn't make his mistake, Clark can't make his, he could of been having a chat with Schwarzer and it wouldn't have mattered if Hutton had done his job properly. I suppose you could argue about expecting the unexpected, but we were already winning 2-0, what more could've been expected Agreed and it was noted either during commentary or the post-match analysis that it was Hutton's mistake that ultimately contributed to the goal. No doubt, Hutton´s error on 70%. 10% was Grealish´s for not coming to the ball, 10% Vlaar´s for not going to support Hutton for short pass or not instructing/commanding enough Hutton to clear the ball and 10% Clark´s as all defenders are instructed to act as they are "chained" together. But you can not expect the dumbness of your teammate (clear that f@king ball!). Or can (in Hutton´s case)?
  8. Every decent manager builds the team around best players and play to their strengths. It says much about Lambert (despite long term injury to Benteke).
  9. No penalty at all. That squeaky second commentator claiming it was a penalty is a complete idi@t. I know, I know, it is "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named". Back to Vlaar. Very good performance, but I can not remember, where was he and who was he marking when Foxes scored. Anyone?
  10. I would put him directly into the water of Premier League against Stoke, if Gil was not to be fit on time. Jack was out of confidence, he seemed to be totally down last game, but he needs a fresh restart.
  11. Andreas is not a winger. He is STRIKER. As a lone striker, he is no. 2 or 3 in picking order - level on with Gabby, Benteke being our no. 1. And I fear, with Kozák´s return, Andreas will be no. 3 and 4 with Gabby. It all matters from Sherwood´s preffered formation. Playing Andreas and Gabby out of position was one of Lambert´s biggest mistakes.
  12. Let´s face the known facts: Gabby and Weimann, only one of them should be on the pitch and it would be possible only in classic 4-4-2 formation, as they are both poachers/advanced forwards, sitting on the back of the last defender and in front of Benteke´s flicks or creative passes. One of Lambert´s biggest mistake was playing them both and as wingers to create something for Benteke. They are not and both lack vision, creativity and passing. Gabby and Andreas are both strikers, as mentioned above. Gabby´s play is based on pace and strength, but he has poor football brain and poor off the ball movement. Weimann is more intelligent, better of the ball, but poor pace and strength. Therefore is Gabby slightly more suitable for away games with fast counters. I am expecting those roles for them under Sherwood. But I am sorry, I can not see his role in 4-2-3-1 formation other as a lonely striker and only as a sub for Benteke.
  13. Disagree, I think most of our players are extremely overrated. Probably should be in a different thread, but Guzan, Cissokho, Vlaar, Okore, Clark (of current), Delph, Westwood, Sanchez, Gil and Benteke are most certainly players who can compete in the top 10. Some for European chasing clubs. Cissokho can not kick the ball, he is so poor on the ball, that ballboy would be better option going forward. If I was manager, Cissokho would never cross halfway line (like Mourinho with Gallas and Ferreira). Liverplop fans were right about him. Any new manager will have a lot of problems to stay up with current crop of players, as only Guzan, Vlaar, Delph and in form Benteke are better players. The second wave consists of Okore, Westwood and Gil. The others are Championship quality now. And there is a rest, who do not know, what the ball is for: Weimann, Agbonlahor, Cissokho, Cleverley and NZogbia.
  14. Ciaran Clark would probably break his two legs in the first training session. No blood relation with Libor Kozák (Libor is Czech) but I have got it.
  15. Anything like Jo Venglos? No way in terms of management style. Kozak is straightforward as hell, brilliant motivator and tactician, there are only few better managers across Europe in pre-match preparation. Mopped the floor with Spain and Ukraine in EURO qualifications recently by reviving Škrtel´s and Hamšík´s careers back on track, and has a huge influence on Stoch and Weiss international performances. Plays counter-attacking direct football starting from 2 DMs via wingers and AMC as a focal point of attack + likes big strong target man. Villa would be ideal, but as I have mentioned - I think, that he does not speak English well on managerial level.
  16. Ján Kozák senior, found and raised Matič, found and raised Duda, saved several times, several teams from relagation on zero budget just on youth, great tactician, there are only two problems: he is currently manager of Slovak National team sitting first up front of Spain and Ukraine in EURO 2016 and does not speak English as far as I know. But he never failed/fails. Cheap option.
  17. Something must be wrong with our U21 team, they are horrible this season. Are these players poor overall or we are playing with younger years (1996 and younger)?
  18. I think it was long before Abra era.
  19. Thank you all very much for your advice.
  20. Although, purely for his safety, you should lock the **** in a toilet before the game starts. Not everyone is a Villa fan... Well, no, and I'm sure your friend is very nice, but he really ought to show more class than to support Chelsea ffs ...like Birmingham Shitties? :-D
  21. Although, purely for his safety, you should lock the **** in a toilet before the game starts. Not everyone is a Villa fan...
  22. Hi all Villa fans, next year, I plan to visit Villa Park for the first time in my life (Villa vs. Chelski match). I will travel with one of my best friends. I will be glad if you take some time to answer my related questions: 1. Is it safe to visit Villa Park, me, as a long life Villa fan together with friend, who is a Chelski fan? 2. Is it a good idea to bring him at Holte End? Or have I choose another stand? If so, which one? 3. Three "must see" places in Birmingham before the match? Thank you in advance. Regards, Majkee
  23. Another big mistake by Villa, just look on Cahill. It will be the same with Albrighton and I will be happy to eat my words if not correct. Can someone explain me, what is the reason behind investing the money into youth academy if the club can not see a potential of academy raised players?
  24. From this moment the deal is going to crash a.k.a Ole Gunnar Solskjær is our new manager saga few years ago. Edit: typo.
  25. I wouldn't like to lose Villa Park to be honest. I'd rather Villa Park got developed. This. Just fullfill Villa Park´s 42k capacity in every game and then should start the dialogue about redeveloping Villa Park with fans and investors.
