  1. Just close the thread and leave this foo-fooking history of AMcL behind us.
  2. Why not AVB? Is not he really affordable? He has a lot to prove on the PL level but he is proven I think. I am sure he would rebuild Chelsea if there were not the old dogs like Terry, Drogba and Lampard.
  3. Pure Class Comment! Well done
  4. and i would switch Ireland with Bannan in that suggested formation.
  5. This is the worst comment which I have ever read on this forum.
  6. Herd and Gardner in the middle asap, i feel they would have great partnership on the pitch. Petrov fading around 55 - 60 minutes in every match, so at least 30 mins for Gardner every match is the must. really happy about Herd and his work rate and the perfect sense when and how to take over the ball from opposition. in the first half he had at least five takeovers to apply our continuos pressure. Gardner showed more in the 5 minutes than Petrov for last 30 minutes, when he was fading and losing every ball - it is obvious for me that he lacks stamina. yes, he is good and needed in the first 60 minutes but then, he is just useless due to his lacking stamina and strength.
  7. our great tactician (AMcL) did again stupid mistake by substituting NZog, who has played really well, instead of Petrov, who was dead after 60 minutes again. it should be Gardner for Petrov in around 60 mins, Bannan for Herd few minutes later together with Weimann for Albrighton instead of bringing NZog off. NZog seemed to be disgusted again despite playing well.
  8. this! the basic managerial error has been done by Randy here hence the current budget situation is/was bad (wages/turnover). i doubt there was any 5 years plan when something basic as wage budget or wage/turnover ratio was missing. i am sad to write it, but it seems that Randy falls into category "rich daddy pet". not a managerial owner, or he was not focused enough on Villa despite that tattoo and words.
  9. exactly this plus there is always a land called the rest of europe behind La Manche channel, esp. further behind iron curtain EU countries - good potential, cheap wages and low transfer fees, Czech, Slovak players etc. are good example of potential stored there (very good Slovaks produced in recent years i.e. - Hamsik, Weiss, Stoch, Kucka, Mak, Kiss; do not forget about Czech recent great U-21 European semifinalist etc.) but it means to stop to be dull and scout in the Europe or other places of the world. quick reminder of other clubs, the competetive advantage will be gone in just year or two as clubs like Manure etc. are establishing scouting network here in Central Europe via former players (i.e. Szilard Nemeth is a scout of ManUre for Central Europe - translation needed)
  10. my words off topic: is this dr. jo (venglos) as your avatar?
  11. i do not understand one thing about AMcL. his tactictal approach. how the hell can not he stop i.e. collins to blindly kick the ball upfield? i do not know if you have different labour code in England, but if the same player (employee) is doing same mistakes again and again on which he was warned previously, could he be punished through the salary (fines)? i would kick the doors with him if he was repeating the same mistakes. i do not get it.
  12. both wingers have not had enough balls played to them under AMcL. it is about tactics. both warnock and hutton can not pass (esp. hutton) or do a 1-2 pass (walker was special in this) and centre halves just kicking the ball blindly up to the field (esp. collins). our central midfielders are playing mainly through the centre (it seems so for me, but i can be wrong) or losing the ball. i remember well the stats under MON revealing around 40% balls played through channel where a.young was plying. this is now over because of tactical inept managing our players.
  13. i have found it, the logo was the problem for the home kit. these two are tasteful, plus the yellow one, nice. where can i buy them?
  14. my favourite player, improving every match. it is pity that he was injured, it slowed his progress.
  15. Based on what??? FIFA 12, latest update
  16. i like the yellow one with borderless crest and the white kit is really great too. only the home kit seems not so cool for me, but i do not know why.
  17. loan him, starting with league one, after that championship, and after that he should be a candidate for senior team based on his loan performances.
  18. with the proper tactics, he is a PL class
  19. he is only 22 omg, what do you expect? he is not another c. ronaldo, but he is still learning and will be learning until 25 - 26. and it is the matter of tactics too, because we are not playing a proper wingers tactics. Just a small reminder of proper tactics and player development/learning: my favourite example and player - Miroslav Stoch (Fenerbahce, age 22), he was poor as hell at the end of the last season and start of this one (same crysis as Marc had). now, with proper and simple winger tactics, he is demolishing turkish league with the bullets, goals from long range, assissts, crosses etc. again, the tactics is the problem, as we are not playing proper wingers.
  20. What you babbling on about?? We played well in the second half and could have easily scored another 2-3 goals. Like i said, we could have easily scored 8 goals on Saturday. How the **** is that 'negative'??? To be fair Stu, we were shite 2nd half. Sitting back on a 0-1 lead?!?!? i think its a case of we were shite in comparison to the 1st half, in which blackburn were absolutely **** awful and we played some really good stuff, 2nd half it was a case of blackburn playing better so we decided to stop playing the succesful way we had been and play deep and counter instead, its mind boggling as to why, we reacted far too late to their dominance, didnt change the shape despite it not working, made the subs too late at half time steve kean showed more tactical nous than our manager... stamina imho. both petrov and herd were just returning from injuries. manager's error was that he did not substitute both herd and petrov around 60 minutes. gardner and bannan for them. after that i would wait to see if nzog or marc would need to be substituted. instead of this AMcL did substitute nzog - mistake (nzog was not happy about it again rightly) and waited too long to substitute herd - mistake. also to play bannan on the right wing is a waste - another mistake. if you analyse our goals against we are prone from free kicks / corners and crosses from wings. as far as i know warnock is the most liability in the team right now so i would substitute marc just for a fresh cover to help warnock (he is prone to errors more and more as time is nearer and nearer to 90 mins - weak mentally).
  21. He was always a good player lol. its just the way he was playing made him look shit, how do you explain him being amazing for Wigan under martinez, and now struggling under McLeish? hes a shit manager that cant get the best out of players. Simple. it should not be hard to manage players of NZog class in terms of tactics. play on the wing, with ball - do a trick and create a position for yourself to shoot or cross (always), without ball - run back to track your fullback/winger, run into space after gathering the ball. simple. plus if tired than substitute. can you see it AMcL?
  22. I agree. What he was saying for most of the game was spot on, it's just that crap at the start that made no sense. Do me a favour. I respect McLeish as a man as he's never talked Villa down, appears to show respect for the club and the fans, something DOL never did. Okay he may not be the best manager, but as a bloke he seems genuine and decent. I really don't know where this perception comes from that he's a nice man. And what does it matter if he is a nice man or not. He is a shit manager. You never hear many people who worked under Lord Ron Saunders say what a nice man he was? But the all say what a brilliant manager he was! The media do seem to have this way of never wanting to upset managers and how would Neville have a clue about McLeish as a manager? He has never played under him! And why o'why do people think Houllier finished strongly last year? He was ill and no where near the club with MacAllister running the side. Once GMac had realised that the best way to play that team was the MON way i.e. Ash on the wing, Petrov and NRC in the middle then we won the games surprise, surprise. I know he's a shit manager, I just don't know why people keep on saying he's a nice man. To be fair even before Houllier was taken ill we'd just won two games on the trot for the first time that season. The MON way? I take it if "the MON way" didn't work it wouldn't have been called such? I was agreeing with you regarding the personal attributes of AM I couldn't care less whether he is nice or not. WoooHoo a 2 game winning streak!!!! I was probably wrong about GMac changing to the same set up as MON I think it was actually Houllier who realised his own idiot tactics and formations were making us lose every week. To be fair in the main the MON way was play everyone in their strongest position and never change the side. MON was a good manager and I for one wish that Randy hadn't got rid! to be fair to Houllier, he was betrayed by some players. in a lot of games we were dominating possesion and shots and despite the run of play we lost several games due to idiotic mistakes by players mentioned earlier. some of these players were axed later on. this is the fact.
  23. this should be answered by someone who attends the games as from streams or tv it is not visible for me if players are, or are not communicating during the match broader than simple "pass me". the defense must be in constant communication to be better positioned and marking properly. only thing i can confirm that Keane is non-stop talker managing almost whole attack as you can see his talking and oftenly frustration on simple errors or misplaced passes and lack of movement.
