We are going down, starting with a heavy 5 goal defeat this weekend against Newcastle. Their new players will be more than ecstatic to start well for their new team.

Again, irrelevant is the position written behind the names of players, if this position is not the best fit according to player's skills. I have been watching Bannan for a long time to asses him imho and for me, he is (edit:) better than average AMC, but no way he can play as a winger and no way to play him as a CM without Alex Song or some other DMC monster. His other important weakness is, when the tempo goes higher, he often lose his composure and vision, he tries a hollywood ball to nowhere, loosing the ball. If the tempo is low, he is able to create even on CM position, but do not expect low tempo in relegation dogfight.

Yes I know, but I also know too that if someone is not good at one thing he is going to do it his way. We do not know if it is an intention of manager or inability of player but one or other way, current technique of Bannan's crossing is a waste if it is intented to score from his cross therefore his ratio of successful crosses is irrelevant to me.

AMC - same as Ireland and Delph, may be Holman. These players do not know how to defend, are not strong enough to play on MC or DMC position. I am claiming it for a long time and this is our main problem together with strength and heigth of our defenders.

Stats are claiming he is good going forward - it is true and also with his weaknesses, but he is playing on the position which needs DEFENDING almost evenly as ATTACKING.

I am sorry but you have misunderstood me. Giveaway is imho to have a ball on my feet and loosing it under pressure of opponent, 1-on-1 is almost a must for midfield to create more time for successful pass (just focus yourself on midfield play in every match you can see a lot of 1-on-1 in the midfield - this is the case why we lost 2nd half against WBA, just re-watch the match and count successful 1-on-1 against our midfielders) and air-balls are very interesting after throwing the ball in the middle of the park constantly loosing the ball if it is directed to one of our midfielders.

re crossing stats - there is a very very big difference between a successful inswinging fast driving cross (technique A) and successful slow underkicked cross performed by Bannan ( B ). I can not rightly describe it in English but the difference between these two techniques of crossing the ball is huge as it is almost impossible to score from ( B ) crosses. Compare Bennet's cross to Beneteke's goal (A) with Bannan crossing technique ( B ) which is almost 90% waste. The Bannan's crossing technique should be used only to kick the ball FORWARD, not to cross the ball, because the ball has a back spin for avoiding to bounce far away, but it is very har to score from it if it is used as a crossing technique. That knows everybody who played football.

You need stats showing giveaways, lost air-balls and lost 1-on-1 and you will see how poor our midfield really is, esp. Bannan. These stats you are reffering to are all attacking stats only, but it is related only to compare attacks, not defences and as we all know, we are very fragile in defensive part of play. Bannan and Delph are constantly out muscled in the midfield loosing key balls.

You need more than five players defending corners. Take in mind that we are one of the weakiest team in terms of physical heigth and strength. We can not match opponents - simple as that. Therefore a lot of corner goals conceded and also not scored on the other end of the pitch. Plus the delivery from our corners are just awfull. They can not cross, it is all about ability, the ball after kicking the corner is flying so slow and high that opponents are just prepared to clear the ball easily. The right corner should be inswinging fast mid-high ball, something like this: . I do not really know what are we trying to do in training. It is obvious that neither our player knows this. Personally, I would try Bennet to take the corner kicks. He seems to be our best crosser.

Two lost points today due to bad bad subtitutes. What the hell was Lambert thinking when we needed to defend two goals margin and he put on two defensively weakiest midfielders in our squad. Both Bannan and Holman should google "how to defend properly" on Youtube. We need two strong and big defensive midfielders who know how to defend if we want to hold the lead. Midfield was the reason why we sat so deeply in the second half, midfielders were marking 16 yard box line - but omg why, when we have 5 men defense is beyond me. Very angry on Lambert today, NZog should stay on the pitch as he was always dangerous on the break. Holman, Bannan, NZogbia and Delph are all AMCs and only one of them should be on the pitch simultaneously. Clark is the lost case, he will never be a player for us, mark my words. He is so mentaly poor that he can not kick/clear the easiest (long) ball if the team needs it. We sold Cahill for low money but he was mentally far far stronger than Clark (therefore he is in Chelsea now), and Baker, who is worse player than Clark has better chance to make it because he seems to me mentally stronger than him.

please lambert, take down Delph and bring someone more streonger otherwise we will lose it.

Delph needs to be taken off. El Ahmadi in if he is on the bench (not sure if).

Clark and Herd are both the problem of our defence, why the f* are they going to press opposition players when they are last men of our defence??? They are not marking them, they are just pressing them like blind chickens - but this is the job for our 5 attacking players, not defenders omg.
